I do some inventory work for a friend of mine and they have maxed out the inventory on quickbooks. Meaning we can not add anymore inventory items... UGH>>> Really frustrating! She has two very small stores and does not generate much money. So spending tons of money on a POS system is not practical for her business. Both stores sell womens clothing and are located across the street from one another. She is in her 60's so this will never expand beyond what it is today unless she sells the business. She is happy with the money she makes now. So does anyone have any ideas what she could use?

quickbooks pro 2004. Do a search online and you will find others with this issue. I think its like 14,000 is the limit. You can't delete items that are linked to invoices no matter how old they are..

Well the easiest way appears to be to upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise. According to Intuit's site:

http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Pages/KnowledgeBaseArticle/100612

The limit for items in Enterprise is officially 100,000 though they claim newer versions of enterprise can handle up to 1,000,000 items with slower performance as you get more.

Aaron,

Each software has its own limitation. Let see what her requirement is and give me a call, we may be able to help you with the POS system +20% off.

Thanks in advance for your help. I run a travel agency and specialize
in groups. I need to be able to put several clients under one group
name to keep track of their invoices and payments without having to
pull up all my clients. Is there a way I can make a group and put all
the clients in that group to send invoices to and make a report for the
group?
I think it probably has something to do with "jobs" but I have
spent hours online and can't find the answer.
Once again, thanks for
your help.<!--Session data-->

Luckiest,

Jobs would be the way to go. Another idea is to track each event as classes, so you can track P&L by each event.
