Hello, Im looking to turn my hobby of 3 years into a small business, where I would be the sole owner and probably only employee, I am planning to get an LLC license very shortly, but im looking for finacial advice just to keep everything smooth.

I am 18 years old, that is a full time college student, and I have never had a credit card or a loan. I have a very good idea of my business, and already have prototypes of my products, I just need to ability to mass produce and go to market. $20,000 to $30,000 would be great?

What are some recomended options of obtaining this money?

Thank You

In addition to SCORE (score.org) there are also Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) that are free and should have an office in your area. They can also help you develop your business.

Regarding financing - there are many options for a small start-up - especailly since you are only seeking $20K to $30K.

I'm starting a small LLC too and the forum at cardratings.com has been a wealth of information for that sort of thing. I've learned so much about credit, how to obtain business credit and keep it seperate from your personal credit and what to look out for. The things you may or may not be doing that you probably didn't think mattered but it does a lot. It's a great forum for those wanting to ask questions of individuals who are in the credit industry.

Hope it helps!
