My husband and I have purchased a rental townhome. We had a lease signed with a tenent, then decided that we needed to set up an LLC to protect our primary residence and retirement from possible lawsuit. We also quit claimed the property into the LLC name. The original lease is signed between our names and the renters. Do we need to have a new lease signed with the LLC named as the owner/landlord? We live in MN.
