spliting ownership and profits on new business

I am starting a new project. The concept is mine and I am putting up all the capital. I have a partner that will be doing the majority of the day to day. What is a fair percentage to pay her. Neither of us will be taking a salary.

Does your partner bring anything else to the equation other than trading sweat for equity? Meaning, does she bring an expertise, name recognition, customer base, etc... that you don't have? If she doesn't, then I would tend to agree with chwmqq at the 1/5^th^ equation. However, if she is bringing something more to the table, then you should up the percentage.

Thanks Doug,

She is very talented in the area of work she will be doing. I have another party with most of the marketing relationships so she will have help with that. I am also very hands on wwith all I do. I want to be overly fair as she has been involved in several of my ventures going back about 13 years.
