Selling a magazine

Looking for the step by step process of selling a single owner llc??? It's a print publication incorporated in the state of Indiana, but operating in Michigan as well. The purpose is more of a transfer of ownership, as opposed to a "sale". Possible links to legal forms and further documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Currently no accountant or lawyer... Previous accountant was fired and I'm doing some research before i pull in an attorney.

Dexter:

Have you gone online to BizFilings.com or LegalZoom.com to check out the services that they offer at very reasonable rates?

The other option that you may have is to meet with a local business broker to help you with the documentation for transition. They typically want 10 - 12% of the sale price. You can always see if they would be willing to negotiate a lower deal since they will not have to market the business to find a buyer.
