I want to start IT/Scientific Staffing Business

I am looking for some advice on how to start business in the area of Staffing in IT, Clinical Trials and Scientific Research. Ideally looking for a mentor. I have over 15 years experience in this area. I want an idea in terms of:

1. Is it a good time to start this business? I live in Tristate area - NJ-NY-PA?

2. I have been able to get reasonably good account for my company but it is 15+ years in business. How much time should I plan for before my business take off?

3. How much money would I need?

4. How easy/difficult it is to get money from the banks? I have no equity left in my house (rates dropped).

OKIi am clueless here.

IT, clinical trials and research? Each of these fields is as different as birds, humans and snakes.

You need to make a decision as to which one. Doing all three is going to make you look like you are in over your head. If I was looking for an IT guy and was approached by your staffing company our CTO would nix anyone from your agency as a contractor.

Try to narrow your focus or maybe explain why so many things.
