No, I have never posted on this board before. The name of my bookstore is Adventures in Used Books. I am a retired Kindergarten Teacher who had 4000 books sitting in my garage. Two years ago I started a journey to discover what I wanted to do when I grew up and this is what came of it. You walk into my shop and are immediately met with the sound of bubbling fountains. I have a living room atmosphere with gentle lighting that people who have been in just love. The coffee is fresh and always hot. I also sell cappuccino, hot chocolate and snacks. I have an eclectic supply of books and it grows more and more every day. I take books for store credit, sell for 50% of retail and have begun to get a small collection of rare, first editions and collectibles. I also list a seperate inventory on Ebay under the listing of Kindergarten102057. If you ever find yourself in Kings Mountain, NC come visit us.

What a great success story. I am on my way to Kings Mt. (only kidding), BUT the bookstore

Yes, I hear you on Dunkin Donuts coffee. Being from Fairfax, Va originally, I needed my Dunkin Donuts coffee. Crispy Creme is the big thing in the south, well at least in this area. I look forward to your visit. At the moment it is 80 degrees outside, there isn't much desire for coffee at the moment but I have ice in the freezer, so I could just add ice. The Chamber of Commerce is coming tomorrow at 2 to do the official ribbon cutting ceremony. I am frantically trying to reshelve books that wandered to other sections. As I am doing this I find more and more books that I would like to read myself. That is the danger if you own a used bookstore and love books as much as I do, you want to take them all home.
