Linda, It would be nice to know what you have tried and what were your results?
This way we won't be posting ideas that you have already done.

This topic is thrown at random. What kind of services do you supply, each sector varies.

thanks for your input guys.. I really appreciate suggestions...I've tried quite a few different marketing techniques...open houses are one of the most effective ways I've been able to draw potential buyers...online advertising isn't as effective as i had hoped.

Hi Linda,

Given your short request and lack of information provided, it might explain why you're struggling other than the economy. In effect, you're expecting us to read your mind or do the homework for you. I'm being blunt here, but that doesn't exhibit a service oriented approach to doing business. Yet you are in a service oriented business. Your problems may be more systemic than external.

Please forgive the boldness with my reading between the lines but you give off a "me first" vibe. That turns people off. Perhaps it is time for some soul searching about what it really means to be in the business you are in.

Be On-Purpose!

Kevin

Sometims old school is the key.. The good old referrals. Since everything is all about networking.. If you do provide great services it makes it easier to request for referrals..

Hey!
I read your post and think I might be able to help! Promoting is not an easy task, however Promotional Products are one of the most effective ways to keep you name and message in front of your customers. When you give seomeone a pen, a mug, or one of 650,00 other products, they are reminded of your company's name and message over and over. This is exactly what I do! please contact me if you find this helpful and i would love to further help your business grow!

Linda,
By the looks of it you are well on your way to promoting your services, you are on twitter, have a blog and are on here. So it appears the channels aren't your problem although another channel I would recommend is getting in touch with your local Banks and see how you can partner with the mortgage bankers if you haven't already done so. Also on twitter try the wefollow registry. It will put you in groups in regards to interest. Maybe if you aren't seeing results from these channels it has to do with your message/content. Hope that helps.

First of all what are your services and where are you located. Remember the first rule of marketing it location, location, location. Who is your target market? Eric

Dear Brunette

I have found that promotional gimmicks are very ineffective marketing tools...I can't tell you how often I find a magnetic calendar with bus card info on fridges in foreclosed property promising to move the property asap yet it was still foreclosed! It's a lot of BS if you ask me. This is not to say that I don't like getting free magnets to post info on my fridge but I can't say I have called any one who has sent me a fridge magnet within the last three years. As for mugs...they generally don't microwave well as their foil creates sparks which damages the micro...as for jar openers you can never find it in the drawer when you need it and I have a great gadget that opens any size without any promotional material on it that I swear by. I can't even say that I like business cards...when folks are looking for my number if they don't have it stored in their cell when they want to see a property they may not be able to reach me.....if they can't locate my card. As for junk mailings...well don't get me started!
