Hello,

I think that most of the advice you have been given on this site is inappropriate. Everyone is not meant to be an entrepreneur. Most people that are transitioning from a job to owning a home based business fail. They fail because the lack the proper mindset to succeed in owning their own business.

Being successful in a home based business is about 90% mental and 10% what you choose to do.

It will require a totally different YOU than the YOU that is doing payroll right now. It is flawed thinking to believe just because you are good at doing payroll that you will be successful at owning your own home based business.

I suggest you save your $1,000 right now unless you just want to throw caution to the wind.

I do have a quick assessment test that you can take for FREE that I can send you to see if you even have what it takes to become a small business owner.

Sometimes what you hear is not what you need to hear and vice versa.

I hope this has helped you.

Now, there are a lot of opportunities for business, especially in online business. I don't agree with that no one can start business with as low as $10,000.

I am not going to go into a very long spill about Winalite Corporation. But what I will say, the business opportunity that Winalite offers is NOT a "money making program or system" but a real live, breathing entity that manufactures superior products which has been used by women globally for the past 12 years, (except in the U.S.) but has finally come to the U.S. in the earlier part of this year.

the product is a NECESSITY and NOT a LUXURY. And as long as there are women young or mature, pregnant or nursing, there will always be women in need of these products.

If you would like to learn more about this business opportunity and its product, please let me know and I will be happy to provide you will all the details necessary for you to make an informed decision. But let me add, since you are a student attending college you are surrounded by women who will need this product continuously throughout their childbearning years and even as they progress toward menopause.

As I have already said, if you are interested, simply reply to this message or send me an email to felisia62@gmail.com To see the product comparisons please feel free to visit http://www.winalitepro.com/product_comparison_video.html.

Thank you.

Look, there are a lot of opportunities depending on how much time and effort you want to put into it. However, one of the companies that I work with provides cell phones (through Verizon) and pays you back for a percentage of your use. They also pay you up to 10% of anyone that you sign up. In addition, they provide you with 25 free leads per month, utilize an automated email responder (so you don't have to do much of anything if you don't want to). The signup range is 10 - 20 percent. They set up a site for you with a back office to keep track of customers, associates, and commisions. Their rates are more than competitive and I would think that being a college student you would have access to many fellow students who would like to get something back for all the cell phone charges they get each month. As I mentioned before, you can take a look by going to http://www.lmsllc.mywirelessrep.com/ to see what the web site would look like and you can also get an online presentation on what they provide by going to www.whylightyear.com. There is no obligation to look at these two sites. It only takes a few minutes of your time to determine if this opportunity might be right for you.

You are absolutely right. However, you need to be careful with MLMs as many of them require you to purchase products yourself first and this can be very expensive.

If you still want to do payroll...
Go to oDesk.com or eLance.com and offer you services as a freelancer. At the very least this might generate income. Get a business license, file dba, create website (using your computer experience), business cards, and fliers. Go to forums like this and answer questions and offer services, visit local businesses and even cold call them, utilize current social networking sites like myspace/facebook/twitter. Instead of payroll, you can do the same with your computer services. I can say with confidence that you will get at least ONE client using the above. How many do you need? You should know that number because you created a business plan, right? (or will create one for any venture you decide)

*I am also a college student and decided to rent out my windshield to local and small businesses for additional income ( http://rentmywindshield.com ). It is currently under development to allow others to do the same. You can also create an ebook or video and attempt to sell it. "4 Hour Work Week" by tim farris (or something like that) will give you a LOT of ideas. Also, the book "Gorilla Marketing" has great ideas too. My website, < $100, free business cards from vista print.com, and social networking site/talking to local businesses have worked well enough for me. More gorilla marketing...I created a video for a college contest which gives me free exposure! ( http://tinyurl.com/mlds7b < </strong>I can guarantee many many hours of hard work and self promotion in any business venture you pursue.

Don't forget to do all the business plan/red-tape stuff. Lastly, I recall reading a reply that mentioned it was ALL about your mindset...and I would have to completely agree.

To all MLMers,

First I would like to say that promoting your business on blogs and online is a great way to get your opportunity out there and find prospects.
However, pushing your opportunity usually doesn't get the results that you would like to get...
Think about it, people are not always looking for a business, right?! So how will you get their interest? By giving them a solution to a problem that they might have.
Put yourself in your prospects shoes, what can your business offer them? (Money is not always the right answer), can your business offer more time to spend with the family, a way to travel more or maybe just a solution to loose weight.
I always recommend to try and promote your business in a different light, be different than the rest of the MLMers out there and you will stand out!

I have mentioned this in the past but it is very important... Create your OWN website!! Stop using your companies replicated sites, They don't search well on Google and there is no way for you to get your prospects info.
One last thing, Make sure you can create a system that everyone can follow, once you perfect your system you will start making money in this business.

You can learn more at www.NewMLMTactics.com and of course I will post more tips on this site, so keep following my posts.

And always remember to live your dreams!

Guy

I agree that money is not the only motivation and I agree that you need prospects. However, if the company you are working with provides leads (persons who have asked for more information), uses an autoresponder to contact and followup with them, accepts the payment for you, and pays a commission as well as providing a percentage payback of your cellphone usage; it seems to me that the other motivational reasons you stated are accomplished. Someone recently mentioned that Lightyear only provides 300 minutes, which is incorrect. They have different plans - the smallest being 450 minutes plus 3000 anytime minutes. You can get updated information by visiting www.lmsllc.mywirelessrep.com.
