I own a service disabled veteran owned small business which I started on the side in 2004 while working for others. In early 2008 I was downsized from my corporate job, and decided to focus my efforts on growing my business. With a not-so-perfect credit score, I have found it hard to obtain financing for my business for such things as operations and marketing. How do I grow my business if I cant get capital to market our services? I was turned down for an SBA loan and alternative financing options all want money upfront and claim they can establish excellent business credit. My business is an IT solutions company.

I own a website that allows business owners and shoppers to network. It's a kind of "business social network". The use of our services is absolutely FREE for both the shoppers and the store / business owners. You can register by following this link: http://www.findstorenearu.com/

I'd also suggest you list your business on FREE classifieds like:

Best of luck in restarting your business. You know about SCORE. SCORE is FREE

*You also need to develop a Business Plan. It is one of the first items
that a lender or investor will want to read. And YES SCORE can help you
with the plan.*

Hello fellow veteran owned business:

Please be sure (as well as others on this thread) to visit the VeteranOwnedBusiness.com Directory and get your company's free listing. Currently there are over 1,600 veteran, active duty military, reservists and especially service disabled veteran owned businesses listed. The site has had nearly 650,000 pages viewed so far in 2009.

And of course there's no cost to get your business listed!
