Hello Everyone,

I will be offering A/P and A/R services for my clients and wanted to know what software is good for this type of service.

I need a program that will enable me to do all aspects of A/P and A/R. One that won't be so complicated when printing aging reports and so on, Any advise?

Thanks,

Karla

Hi Luckiest,

Thank you for your response.

I'm currently using Quickbooks for my business, but I did want to use it for my clients. Do you advise I get a separate Quickbooks for just this services? if not, how can I separate my business expenses from the services I will be providing for my clients?

Karla,

I have been using Peachtree for several years. Their accounting system is very comprehensive and offers a broad range of features for A/R. A/P and Payroll. You can set up several independant companies and the program is pretty user friendly.

Hello Staffing Pro,

Thanks for the advise. Do I need to get a specific program or just Peachtree? Reason why I ask, is that Quickbooks for instance, has several levels in the software.

By the way, are you in the staffing industry? I currently work for a staffing company as Payroll Supervisor. :)

Hello KarlaAmaya,

From many years of trial and error, I have come to the decision that QuickBooks is that easier to understand and manage. You currently are using it; why not keep building your knowledge on it, instead of learning different software. : )

Good Luck.........

Karla,

The full name of the software is "Peachtree Complete Accounting" and is an all inclusive program. Their website will give you more info.

And yes, I have been in the staffing business for 19 years.

You need to set up a separate company file for your client.
With QuickBooks open got to file than new company. This will bring you to a wizard which will let you create a separate company file. As you will see, there are options from many different type of companies. You need to choose that one the best suit your client business.

I hope this answer your question.........

I've used Peachtree and QuickBooks and I think they're both user friendly, but I'd stick with QB since you already have it. You might want to take some on-line QB courses or maybe look on Craigslist for some quick tutoring just to get you started.

Good Luck.

If you are already using QuickBooks, I'd take a look at our add on Qvinci. It can pull A/R and P/R reports in any way you want (by month, by top ten customer, by year, by year to date) and display them graphically as well. Its also easy to trend A/R and P/R for your customers. Emailing and printing are completely easy to do and customers like it becuase its graphical.

http://www.qvinci.com will give you more information.
