How to open a bank account for a business

Wanted to know how to open a business bank account for a new consultancy firm we started. I am currently overseas setting up our backend office and wanted to know how to open an account for the new business. Do i have to wait till i get back home to do so or can i do in over the phone or online.

Originally from california but currently overseas in India. I am looking for a US account, not a local account
