I am trying to get my LLC and the name is becoming a problem. Can your business name be different that the LLC name? And if so, is there anything special you need to do in that senario?

Thanks
Jim

If you plan to sell products or services under a different name, you must file an assumed name certificate or fictitious name statement. For more infromation check this site.http://blog.clickandinc.com/

Yes, your business name can be different than the name of the LLC. You just need to register the LLC under the name that you want the LLC to be and then you will have to register a seperate DBA(Doing Business As). Have you already registered your LLC? What state are you in? With multiple steps its best to have an attorney or a consultant do this for you. If you have any more questions or need help registering your LLC and DBA you can email me at renee.rankine@ranksintl.com.
