Hello mzprecious!

Depending on how much you need for financing and what stage you are in your business you may need more than just grants. If you can give me some idea as to where you are and where you are going with your business I can do some research into different avenues of financing. If it turns out that you need more than grants you are going to want to have a business plan. Reply here or email me at renee.rankine@ranksintl.com with whatever information you want to provide.

BUSINESS GRANTS, Welcome

Tell us more. Who are you?? Where are you??Go to Members page and share some info

Are you in business NOW?? Have you developed a Business Plan?? The plan is one of the first items a grantor or lender will want to read

Getting a grant for business is very tough. I just finished researching this, the programs out there are very slim. Getting a loan is a bit easier but not much. You really have to have a track record and detailed business plan. This is the starting point. Most companies states or instutions want to see how much "skin" you have in the game. The skin is your contribution aka cash or investment. Intellectual value does not mean much since you will add that anyway to make the business work.

Hello:

I'm starting a Green (Sustainable) Design Architecture / Design / Build Firm . . . I too am looking for grants . . . either to fund the business or to fund the construction of a prototype, portable, self-sustaining, zero energy home. Any advice.

Thanks

I would say the same would apply. Do not waste your time with the SBA, they are not in the grant business. Check with the federal government about federal loans. I would Google it for the fastest results. My initial thoughts are that there is not a lot available considering the economy. You may have to do it privately.
