Selling A Company

A Korean Tourist Company, approached me and asked me to help them in selling their company.

What should I approach on this?
Means - 1) how could I sell a korean company sitting in US?
2) why a company will purchase another company?
3) how should I find the potential customer?
4) how should I approach them?
Please share your thoughts on this. I am totally Zero on this matter?

Seems quite odd that they would approach you for help if you know "zero" about it. I'd suggest that they contact a qualified business broker.

Are they located where you are?
What is your specialty?
How did they find you?
Are they selling tickets to South or North Korea? =P LOL!

The company belongs to my uncle, company operates in S-Korea, India, Nepal, Srilanka.

The company is running from last 10 years very successfully, now my uncle wants to retire and asked me to help him.

Excellent information to have.
Have you looked into any of the online business sales sites?
Go to google and look up "businesses for sale."
You can usually list businesses for free and see what hits you get.

Another idea might be to see if any other companies of the same nature would be interesting in purchasing it to grow their business...

That is something that might take a little work but might have a greater reward for you nishantk.

I have worked with International Business and Introduction Brokers. They're in Australia, but their website indicates they have a business partner in Korea:

Though not a personal recommendation, I have associates who've used VR Business Brokers in Honolulu. There is a broker there who speaks both English and Korean, and he may be able to offer some specific guidance for your situation:

1) how could you sell a korean company sitting in America?? The company is in Korea, You are here
in the States. Right You would need both power of attorney and a lawyer.
2) why a company will purchase another company?? It is the way big business gets bigger.
A business with money or profits buys another business also making money and now the first
business is BIGGER.
3) how should I find the potential customer?? On the Internet
4) how should I approach them?? If you place the right kind of as, Bigger companies will approach you.
5) Now that we have share our thoughts on this. You now know more than Zero on this matter?

I posted two possible contacts a few hours ago, but that post hasn't shown up -- perhaps it was "flagged" for some reason (the text review "censor" engine on this site rejects things on occasion for reasons I don't really understand). Anyway, mybe it will show up eventually . . .
