I would like to start my home based craft business, but I have no idea where to begin, and about how much investment would I need, can anybody please give some advice.

If you would provide more information concerning the type(s) of crafts and products you are interested in working with and selling, I and I am sure others will be more than happy to assist you with various forms of information and direction.

This is an open question that needs a lot of blanks filled in.
Do you inventory or make the product?
Do you have a monthly budget for advertising?
Do you have a website?
Do you have a target audience?
Have you thought about using Ebay to generate leads and build some authority?

Personally I have found that SCORE is not the answer. The SBA will not pay much attention to start ups with limited experience in a new venture. They are more suited to brick and mortar type stores that have some milage under their belt and want to expand their businesses but are now limited by capital.

the type of crafts tha I would like to work with are making sourvenirs for baby showers, baptism, First Communions, and Quinciañeras. I don´t know if I need a lincese for this, I honestly don¨t know where to start, and I don´t have a big budget.

Well, if you dont have a big budget, I would suggest using Ebay. You do not need a license either and it can get you a good start. If you later decide you want to expand, you can move to a bigger operation.
