I have been self employed for 18 years, and NO I still do not want to work for anyone else. I am prefectly happy being responsible for myself and making my way in the world.

If you are such an expert in finance, why have you not filled out your profile?

WOW! I'm really not sure where to start. You have obviously been thinking about the points you are trying to get across for quite some time. Perhaps next time you could try not to insult, poke fun at and degrade every person that reads your post.

Obviously not everyone is as smart as you think you are but the things you say in this post are just downright mean and nasty!

Diva: If I am such an expert in finance, why have I not filled out my profile? I'm not sure how me being a finance expert and filling out a profile are related. That's like asking if I'm a finance expert, what's for dinner tonight. I think I have the right to disclose as little or as much about myself as I want.

Luckiest: My name is Bobby Simons.

BizCreditFan: Apologies if I hurt your feelings.

The point of my angry little rant to shake people and wake them up. There are SO MANY people who lose everything because nobody gives them a wake up call before they decided to quit their job and open a business. Small business owners put up their homes, quit their jobs, and invest their life savings into business and then lose it all because nobody told them how hard it would be, and that there was a far greater chance that they will fail than succeed.

I actually had a guy tell me last week that it was the lenders fault that he lost everything because they should have known that the business would fail. There is a time for pom poms and pats on the back, but there are also times when people need to hear the truth. All I've done is tell the truth. Admittedly, I could have been more diplomatic, but it is nonetheless all true.

In a nutshell, my point is that working for yourself is not for everyone, and people should realize that. I like my night and weekends free. I like a regular paycheck. I like doing my job and going home. This is from the perspective of someone who has been on both sides of the fence, and I definitively like being an employee better. Perhaps my points will save someone from a big mistake (assuming my meanness doesn't turn them off first).

The people who have the drive will ignore me and keep fighting for their dream. If I've discouraged some people on the fence from risking their financial future, then I've done something good (even though I'm realy mean and nasty).

Bobby,

You make a lot of very good points and I don't deny the information you are putting out there is correct.

Delivery makes a big impact.
