Let me see if I can answer a couple of questions here;

1st - validation. That would be a three step process. a) valid credit card or pay pal b) item being shipped c) three day business window for cancellation/return THEN the commission is paid.

2nd - how does ZILO (parent ZILO) get paid?

From the retailers based upon each sale....commission goes to parent first, parent keeps a portion then parent pays store holder. It is like having a paper catalog like SkyMall on American Airlines to read. There are many many vendors...if you go to the SKY MALL website you will see that's the construction of it as well. SKY MALL itself stores no merchandise...they are a distributor...which is what zilo is.

Zilo was actually on Amazon.com but got kicked off in May of 2007 because the ZILO biz model was the same as another Amazon application. Tech Crunch had an article about it around May 31.

It would help if things were explained. Using buzzwords like validation are confusing at best.

This is something I have really noticed since being interactive on the internet. People do not explain themselves and rely on buzzwords and incomplete thoughts to make their point(s). Then when asked to explain themselves they de- evolve.

Internet technology is so wonderful, however I wish that more users would get in tune with it and learn what it is they are doing and why. Validation is a good example. Does Rico know the Zilo validation process (I just guessed), would he be willing to share it here? Just because it is the internet does not mean it is easily discernable.

Well it was not a new home business concept lol

This kind of affiliate/MLM programs are always wonderful when we read the first posts, then going deeper, that shows the reel face of the business.

When you worked a long time with this kind of business and things goes wrong, YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT.

Wow, 35 comments (12 more than the total for any other post in the Home Based Business forum), and all in just 24 hours! If this had been posted in Business Announcements, I wonder if half of us would have even read it yet.

I think what sparked it is the issue of us all wanting to know details and they weren't being supplied to us.
I felt like a fat kid at the buffet line, and nobody was feeding me.

"New" to you, perhaps -- not to us. Anyone considering this should investigate it carefully.

Agreed. It seems to take a lot of prying to get information out of Rico about this venture.
I would seriously read all the fine print and search around google/yahoo before persuing this option.

A similar concept is used by MyPowerMall. You sign up for a free mall that you shop in and refer others to also sign up for their own mall too. This is how you create your downline. You get small rebates for shopping yourself as well as a percentage of others who you did refer and so forth. No real catch or overpriced products here interestingly enough. You can shop at regular stores like Best Buy, Target, etc. and pay the same costs, use the same coupon codes, etc. Its all based on affiliate marketing like many folks do with Google Ads, etc.

To see more of it in action, go to my reference site at http://getmymall.info
