Opening a nightclub/lounge

My cousin and I looking at opening a nightclub. At the location that we are looking at was a club before. I have no experience in opening a club or any business for that matter i dont where to start. I need help from start to finish? If anyone has any ideas as to what I would need and where I can get in from please let me know. I reside in St pete

I would start with your local Small Busienss Development Center (SBDC) or SCORE (score.org). Either search for SCORE or SBDC in your area or ask your chamber of commerce. Both are free and will help write a business plan, research your market and location, develop a marketing plan and help guide you through this process.

is there anything this else that i should look into i mean as far a liquor license or where to get funding for this concept? With today's economy Im told that getting a loan for this concept will be difficult? Should I look into a financing firm?
