I will like to start a book printing company. I have ran across several books on this type of business. I would like to know if anyone know of a checklist of equipments, software, and type of equipment I will need to run such a business.

I would suggest you start with SCORE (score.org) or find a small business development center (SBDC) - these are free services and are designed to answer these types of questions in detail.

If looking to finance the equipment you need - please visit our site.

Thanks for responding. My name is Charlene Thompkins. I live in Brunswick, GA. I do have a business and marketing plan minus the correct about I need for start up due to finding equipment that I would need. I own (no mortgage or lien is on it) the building where my business will be located which is worth around 120000. I currently been doing yearbooks, photobooks, presentations, annual reports and manuals for different organizations. I want to branch out and do more. However, I know the printer I have is too slow for the jobs that has been thrown my way. Ink along is killing me. I hate declining work due to equipment. I have taking several courses on book publishing ( I sell my book from printing it from home.) I have taken several of SBA and georgia SBDC Network courses. I have read many books concerning book publishing. I just want to make sure I have enough money when I start to run for a year.

Thank you. I will set up a meeting with the local office ASAP. I thought I had to have all my information before I go see them.
