Potential investor?

I have a BP on a hot new nightclub, he wants my Executive Summary.

If ALL you have is an email address, I would hold onto that summary for awhile. You need to get some basic contact info, real name, address, real phone number (cell is ok), and some references. Once you have this persons' FULL NAME & ADDRESS (emphasis here..) use Zaba Search , Google, Clusty and some more seach engines. See if he's on Facebook, MySpace, or Linkd In.

It is customary for an investor to ask for an Executive Summary. Investors are bombarded with hundreds of requests for funding each week. They will NOT take time to provide references before they determine if an interest exsists.

Yes, you should beware, however your Executive Summary should not include anything of a sensitive nature. Most investors ARE NOT interested in "stealing" your plan, they only want to determine if any interest exsists, and if it fits underwriting requirments.


In my opinion it is OK to send an Executive Summary to anyone how requests it. If you don't your chances of moving to step two are two:


slim and None.

There are posts on this site about Mr. Freeman - I'm not sure exactly where, but wait before you get involved with him. I'm sure someone will see this and post their dislikes. Don't give any money until you check him out.

Not one person I have sent an Executive sumamry to has even bothered to respsond...even after they asked me for it. Please...I am NOT inexperienced. We just launched our product and plan to go live in 45 days. All without someone who only provides an email address investing in us. If a possible investor cannot provide an address and phone number as well as the email address then my advice is...don't bother.

I found all about him on this site, he targets people looking for investors or loans, ask's for a due diligence fee of $2500USD. You never hear another word from him, he's kinda of slick!
He gave me a phone number and a address, even gave me a webpage to look at! said he was really interested in my ES and wanted to pursue this pronto, and besides he said "Everyone wanted his money" so he sent me a LOI & LOU along with a contract for giving him $2500, that stated that he will not be liable for not wanting or being able to provide me with any loans or investment. He currently is being actively investigated by the Florida State attorney's office for doing this type of deal many , many times! he makes a good living from scamming people like us. He has never once invested or loaned money to anyone. My guess he has no money.

To my nowledge, he did not have a web site - he only gave his email address. That is what I think, but if there was a web site, someone will post it I'm sure.

The same thing happened to me with this person. I even met him.

I sent him several emails after that. He always answered short emails, and push to pay the due diligence fees.

He didn't answered any of my questions. And nobody knows about him. So I decided to skip his help when I got the funds to pay these fees.

In the mid time I'm still looking for funding via networking through friends.

If you have the info about the Florida State Attorney's office, please put on this site. It will be helpful for all of us.
