$250K Small Business Loan Advice Needed

Owners of a successful event management firm needs working capital due to economic downturn. Business Gross is $3-4M annually. There has been a loss in tax years 06-08, but future contract value exceeds current debt. Without balance sheets we are unable to secure a traditional or SBA loan. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi Luke,

In order to a get loan from SBA or individual investor you need to present them facts about your business like historical success and as you mentioned "future contract value" that actually exceeds current debts of your business. Best option is to prepare a business plan that describes your management potential, capacity to grow and edge over competitors.

Consider accounts receivable financing.

Three consecutive years of losses make it extremely difficult to attract most other types of debt financing.
