Our company is based in Portland, Oregon. We have been operational for 10 months and have a complete and solid business plan available for review. We opened as a retail and consignment furntiure store in a middle-class neighborhood. It became apparent five months back that we had more to give!
Our goal now is to bring local artisans--who utilize best-practices (using salvaged and recycled materials, non-toxic finishes, client-education) ito create unique and custom furniture-- together with our steadily growing client base, middle- to upper-income folks who are spending money on quality goods for their homes. We are finding that this becomes a very happy marriage of design and money well-spent.
We find ourselves in a local economy that is currently not supporting new construction, and it is clear to us as we speak with our clientele and follow market trends that clients are more likely to spend money on remodeling and on purchases with longevity and staying power.
I came into this company as an Interiors Specialist and bring with me several contacts and resources that have already been of great benefit to our walletshare.
I am currently able to offer not only my expanisve product knowledge and personal contact list, but deep discounts for this company's clientele on eco-conscious and sustainable flooring and tile options through a well known local company, Interstate Flooring Company. This same sort of collabration with a local paint store brings to our clientele the security of using NO VOC paint through Powell Paint Center.
Essentially, we are able to bring high-design in a low-brow way to people who are seeking to create holistic environments for their families and businesses, or to refurbish their homes while they live there or to increase their near future sales.
We are happy to share our artisan and project lists. We are one week away from going live with our online presence, as we belive that this is critical part of staying viable in the current times and economy.
We currently have 6 active projects on the books, with several more queing up. At this point, we have remodeled our space, have culled and replaced product and artisans to fit our current vision, have our operating system in place andare looking for investors to bring $10,000 - 150,000 to the table.
We are interested in working with a silent investor, angel, or other party who can see the value in sustainable and green design for any and all who want it.
