There is no cost of adding customer login to your website becasue there are many free content mangament systems. You can make yourself but if you have not idea then you can hire a programer to work on it.

The CMS (Content Management System) curadebt is referring to is a suitable solution to allow users to modify content on their website.
For example, if a firm develop a website for you, the firm will usually implement a CMS to allow you to easily modify the text, images, etc. on your website, so you don't always have to go through them to make basic changes.

What you are looking for is slightly different. You need to develop a secured website and database that will allow your clients to make their payments and view their account information.

The fees will vary depending on the complexity of the system requested. Did you already ask for quotations from some firms around you?

Good luck.

I would charge $50/hour to set it up for you. It would probably only take 1 hour for what you have indicated.

Are You sure only 1 hour? Online payments has some security issues + there are no information about products, bill generation, reminders, etc. To connect Paypal (enter ID to working system) is simple, but when you have to go trought unknown code finding best sollution...

Of course speaking with the client directly would give me more of an idea of what they are needing. They stated they wanted it simple. Obviously getting into the reminders, bill generation, etc. would add time.
