Hello all,

I have posted on this forum before, and I would like to thank all the people
that contributed to getting my business off on the right foot.

A little background:
Our Company is called The Chop Haus. We sell exclusively online, and we
have a rather small but very high quality product selection of kitchen knives
and accessories. I have a Yahoo Store. (Check it out here: http://www.thechophaus.com)

My question is simple, but I am sure it rings true for so
many of us out there - how to generate high volume traffic to get
customers! I have registered my site
with several search engines, developed a blog that I post on semi-regularly,
printed out several hundred flyers and direct mailed them to catering halls and
restaurants, and had business cards printed up.
I have seen some spikes in traffic after each of these efforts, but
nothing that has lead to any significant sales of our products. DO you guys have any advice on what we could
do?

I have though hard about what I would like my customer base
to be, and it seems that those people that want a quality, durable knife would
buy from me. For people who are OK with
heading to a store like Target and grabbing their knives there, my site wouldn't
be for them. I figure that most of these
types of people work in the food industry, or at least have a working knowledge
of the types of knives available to them.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated. If you need any more information please let
me know.

Not sure why there was all that code inserted above my question, please disregard that if you see it.

Yes, I have one recommendation... get in front of your potential customers personally...no one buys anything from a kiosk...unless it's an atm machine and then you're not buying anything from the kiosk except spending your own money...I did pr years ago for the developer of ATM...sales people are a necessary evil...to get the sale you might try launching a campaign in supermarkets where they give you a platform to pitch from...chop chop...give them a drop price for buying today...it'll be a little pricey I'm sure but get in touch with supermarket chains for exposure...they're nice people...it's a high traffic source as no matter what the economy is like...people will always go to the supermarkets.

Smith's is a great place to network as well as Whole Foods...they have classes where you can learn to cook...while you're there hand out your promotional materials
