I want to purchase a catering trailer to sell food in fairs and carnivals. The trailer price is $65,000. I have tried several financial institutions but I've had several problems: I'm new to the business and most require at least 2-3 years experience, I need 100% financing or leasing because I want to use my saved money for supplies, I have no collateral and my credit score is 660. And because the concession stand is considered a restaurant by banks, it's considered a high risk business! I have a lot of faith in this business and know I can make lot's of money but can't seem to get it started! Does anyone know of any financial institution that specializes lending money to restaurant businesses specially start-ups?

Concession stand, Welcome

I made a New Year's resolution NOT to give out suggestions to postings who do NOT tell me who they are.
Go to Members page and share some info with us.

You also need a Business and Marketing Plan.

Luckiest, I think your New Years resolution is a great idea. How can you help someone if you don't know anything about them or even who they say they are??

This is not a school assignment. I AM doing research but only to be more informed when starting the business.

A lot of people come to this site and have a great idea to make money. What they don't have is aplan to make it. Anyone can say that it will work but proving it on paper by having a business plan with profit and loss will make it more of a reality.

Contact SCORE as they will help you for free. Also attend college classes to learn about business.

You have told us of your plan but in addition to the above, what background do you have that would lead someone to believe that you have the skills to be able to pull it off?

I did work in the restaurant business for 5 years from cashier to management. My mother-in-law also owned a catering truck for about ten years and she is willing to help us (my husband and I) in our venture.

Hopefully this will not be marked as "inappropriate" before you can read it.

luv4freedom, I was not saying your post was a school assignment, I was saying I agree with Luckiest and I am not responding to post that do not provide real information. BUT I was going even further and not responding to posts that appear to be homework assignments. I am sorry if it sounded like I was calling this post a class assignment. I was not.

As is the nature of this forum, I was responding to two other comments about the lack of information provided and how I feel about it.

Sorry for the confusion.
