Hey everyone,
I sell accents pieces like lamps, pillows, vases wall decor, imported wine, etc. Who do you think I should especially market my products to besides the consumer I thought about realtors as well, like for staging homes. What do you think? or do you have another group in mind.

Hi moreno,

What if you went larger and marketed to office suppliers like the W.B. Mason, Staples, Office Max and Office Depot of the world? They outfit complete offices. Just think if you landed just one of those contracts, it would be a grand slam. Try searching for "(home) office solutions" in one of the search engines. Should produce a handful of leads.

Best of luck,
caffeinated

Don't forget the Corporate housing folks. What about churches, nursing homes and the likes? I would look at commercial photographers, they are always building sets and needing things.

Those sound like great items for online marketing. Are you wholesale, retail, or an importer. There are a lot of questions you need to answer to get at your target market. I asked myself this question recently and found how to get at my answers from a book that I recommended you read. "Book Yourself Solid" by Michael Port. The first four chapters really help you to define your target market. I'm doing a chapter by chapter review of his book on my blog http://womenautoknow.com or http://womenautoknow.net/blog. I also wrote an article on "Branding" in this small business community - check out the Articles tab.

Moreno,

Everyone here has given you some good insights into prospective customers to whom you can market your accents. I just want to add something very important - while you have all these potential target customers, be sure you focus on the one or two that is easiest and most profitable for you to serve. If you try to be everything to everybody, you will effectively be nothing to anyone. Trying to serve everyone may result in marketing materials that have multiple, sometimes conflicting messages, which can confuse prospective customers, and cost you money, both in lost sales and ineffective marketing campaigns.

This doesn't mean that you cannot pick up these other prospective groups at some future time; right now, just focus on getting the easiest, most profitable. Once you've scored a win there and are serving them well, then you can try reaching out to the other niches.

Good luck!

You know that is a very good point because I began to feel overwhelmed just recently trying to do precisely what you said not to do and I decided to narrow my target market. Thank you so very much for your feedback and for caring enough to write a response.
