Two very creative names!!
I vote for #2 Vertical Drive. Many people are visual when they are reading. When you say each of these names out loud and picture the first thing to come to mind one gives you a horizontal image and one a vertical image. I personally would like to choose a marketing business that will take me straight to the top. Vertical Drive has more strong vowel sounds therefor it sounds more aggressive. It is also very catchy and uncommon.

Good Luck!

HW

I like Vertical Drive because it conveys what I think you are planning with SEO, namely "driving" targeted leads to your customers' landing pages. Good luck!

I'd concur with the consensus so far that Vertical Drive has more instant "appeal," however . . .

Which one is more consistent with your mission, vision, and competitive position? For example, Vertical Drive creates a sort of "push upward" vision that people may readily associate with most web development, internet marketing, and SEO enterprises -- but is that the approach YOUR business is taking? What if your plan is to position yourself differently and create an image in the customer's mind of a quick, steady, constant, dependable, rhythmic, and harmonious approach to on-line business solutions? Net Cadence would reflect that much better in my view. Ultimately, the name you choose should help communicate who you are.

I was about to select Vertical Drive with the overwhelming majority votes it got, but a thoughtful feedback from Lighthouse 24 got me thinking again. Net Cadence has been recommended to me by some close associates as well and the positioning perpective of a constant, dependable, harmonious marketing enterprise is indeed valuable. I had the same view of the 2 names - appeal vs depth, and I started leaning towards Net Cadence for that very reason as it seems to have more depth to it. But, the question is what will actually work better with my audience which is small to mid sized businesses. That's why I thought of getting external feedback over here as a simulation of how it may actually play out. From the feedback I am getting here, it seems that that even though Net Cadence may have that depth, Vertical Drive's instant appeal and relevance are getting the votes.

Will it play out this way in real life where people and businesses have more time to consider our proposals? Will the instant appeal factor have that much staying power? Or will factors such as name recall, feel, easy to grasp (especially over the phone) factor as well? so, I'm still thinking.

Would love to hear if you have any more thoughts.

Will it play out in real life? who knows, only time can tell that.
But I think that the first impression of that name will make it more rememberable, and in a field where you have alot of competition maybe that's a good thing :-)
