To all,

I've been on this web site for only two days but enjoy reading and learning from all of you and your posts. You can always learn more.

My father owns a wholesale lighting company and we do about a million dollars a year in commercial sales. I am not working for him and looking to expand our company into also selling residential lighting. We do not stock any lights we just drop ship but with our wholesale certificate and my fathers 30 years experiance i think we can offer great products and prices that are half those of home depot and other sources.

Wondering if anyone here has experiance or suggestions on how to start into the residential world. We are planning on starting a website where people can go to and buy wholesale prices but untill then we are looking for ways to get our name into the community.

Thanks

Residential Lighting, Welcome Gerald

There are many ways to get your name into the residential world. Price and Quality are a great start. Advertise them and include giving something FREE.
Support at local schools and churches where you run a competition and the children bring home your advertisement to win and the parents see your business logo or name.
Local Trade Shows are always a way to increase sales.
Maybe you need a Marketing Plan?? LUCKIEST

Hello
this year will be a bonanza year for those in the green field of lighting.I've started last year and had traveled extensively abroad to lighting trade shows. We can benefit and get a slice from billions of dollars that will be invested in solar and green lighting products.

Sincerely yours,

Elias

You can start by targeting the Interior Design Industry and Residential Contractors. By becoming an ASID industry partner you will have access to their database of Interior Designers.
