First of all, going back to the original thought.
Lighthouse - thanks for being someone who tries to think of the good of the community. I think the right thing to do is for all of us to look out for each other. I think if we see free offers and get rich quick offers, small business owners need to be sophisticated buyers. I don't think the moderators should be tasked with researching each post to determine whether or not the marketing message is true. After all, that could be a slippery slope. If someone says that there service is 'the best', should the moderators pull it if they determine the claim is not supported.
So, my thought would be - everyone be wary of crazy ads on this and other sites, secondly, let's not respond to those who post crap - after all, the best way to let a post go unnoticed is if no one responds to it, finally, if you do due diligence on a post and find something alarming - put up a separate post warning others.
I think you did the community a good turn by researchin it and raising the issue
