I have a few questions before I can steer you in the right direction.

1. What is your personal credit score
2. Do you have a Duns number and Paydex
3. What did the company gross last year
4. How much revolving debt do you and the company carry
5. Your average monthly balance for the past three months on your business banking statements
6. Do you already have quotes for the equipment

I have been placing more and more leases recently as business lines of credit have been difficult to impossible to obtain for my clients. If you can get back to me with answers to the above I can eithier place your request myself or send you to the right source.

Mr. Black,

Thank you for your response.

I purchased a residential design and printing company about two years ago. Just after the, Housing Industry hit bottom. Although we have been able to continue on and the business is currently paying for it self we decided to expand and try and add market share.

About a year ago we opened a new division which now puts us into the custom apparel industry. Our division produces custom designed (screenprinted) t-shirts and apparel, Embroidery, Heat transfers and a limited number of promotional items. We have steadily been adding a customer base as we move forward. I would like to expand this division by relocating to a larger facility and adding new equipment to go after larger orders. Our plan includes adding jobs for our local area, approximately 12 - 18 new jobs over the next twelve months. We are just about finished with a new, custom On Line e-commerce site. Our business credit scores are good. My current equipment is leased but not enough to handle the larger orders.

My thought is to purchase the equipment and use them as collateral on the loan. I would like to have some sort of a structured loan similiar to an SBA loan in the amount of 200K or so. I am working on a detailed business plan as we speak. I appreciate any input that you can offer.

Sincerely,

John Schroder

The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) in your area - part of the SBA - is always a good starting point for information. The equipment distributor, as well as your bank, may offer attractive leasing programs.

We do business financing for small and medium size businesses. We specialize in SBA financing.

Three suggestions:

1. Don't do it alone - that means business plan and financing application.

2. If you want a local reference..call your local SBA District office and ask them to refer you to an SBA loan packager, or they can recommend an SBA Business Assistance Center. Most services are free of charge.

3. or choose a company like Lakeland Financial Group, LLC that can answer all your questions, give you an overview of the entire process to set mutual expectations and to come up with a plan of action. Initial consultation is free of charge.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best of luck to you.
