Hi I am currently working for a company. I am a payroll administrator, but they don't pay me enough because I am still a student. I am currently attending college [Just started and my Major is business administration and accounting.

Now I am thinking about starting my own home based business.

My experiences:

I am very good at computers, I know how to build computers, make websites [html].
I also sell on ebay but I ran out of products at my house. http://Tried looking for wholesale sellers to sell me products but all are expensive.
I am also very good at payroll, and I know basics about accounting.

What can I start with a $1000 [saved money] and the experiences I have?

M, You do not need lots of money to start a business. First finish college. A College degree is most important.
You are now a payroll admin, good at computers, and know accounting.
Your major is business administration and accounting. By the time you graduate, you will chooses a business
or type of work you want to do. For example, it does not take a lot of money to open an Accounting office,
do accounting, payroll and income taxes.
Work on a Business Plan. LUCKIEST

I'm guessing the MLM-ers are going to pounce on this soon, so let me caution you to thoroughly check out any business "opportunity" you may be offered. Not all MLM is bad (but most of it that has shown up here is).

That said, there are many small part-time enterprises you can start with $1,000 (where your only real cost is a website host, and some printing for cards or flyers to let people know what you're offering). A college market is one of the easiest to sell to, especially if you're in the middle of it anyway. The question to ask yourself is what do you know about and enjoy doing that others around you might benefit from, want to learn, or be a part of? For example, you know computers, websites, accounting, and ebay. You might tutor other students in accounting, or help them buy and sell items on ebay.

A student I know here got interested in ballroom and swing dance about four years ago, and set up a social network site for like-minded students. It began as a way to help people find dance partners, arrange outings, share info about contests and classes, etc. Within a year, however, he had enough members and traffic volume to sell ads to local advertisers who were targeting college students. The revenue stream isn't enough to make a living, but it pays for a nice apartment just off-campus.

The first law of entrepreneurship: "Find a need and fill it." You can do that. Best wishes.

MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing. It is also known as Most Lose Money. Some MLM programs are good but you have to be careful. If you make money by recruiting new members, you will probably lose. If you are actually selling a product or service that people need, then it can be a great at-home opportunity. You can recruit associates to work with you and get a percentage of their sales as well. MLM companies come and go. The one I recommend is PrePaid Legal. It is over 30 years old and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The program has been endorsed by several state Attorneys General, The National Black Chamber of Commerce, and many other credible organizations and individuals.

For more information, go to www.PrePaidLegal.com/hub/owensdr97. Good luck in whatever business you choose.

Wow, and an MLM chimes in! (the last post before mine).

As for social network, neat idea - try www.ning.com to create your own social network (free!, really!) around any topic you want. Throw in a few bucks each month for your own domain and your own Adsense ads, and you could start generating some money from the ads and services. Take it a step further and see if you can become a broker of services around the social network theme.

Using ballroom dancing idea: studios, instructors, etc - charge them to run ads on your network, or make a commission off each student who signs up for their services.

Work it girl! (grin)

I have no financial interest in Ning.

Hello,
I just joined this community and saw your post. A great business to start from home with low cost is a Virtual Services Company. I recently started my own virtual administrative support company from home and it is great. I provide administrative support, design and some marketing support services to busy professionals.

My start up costs were very minimal. You probably have most of what you need already. You could provide a wide range of services or focus on a specific niche. My web site is currently under construction, but you can check out my business listing at http://member.merchantcircle.com/myvirtualgenie.

Lots of business could use your services and paying a "Virtual Assistant" is often better than paying a full time employee, because they don't have to pay payroll taxes or additional software or hardware costs, vacation or fringe benefits. And a lot of people are looking for quality and affordable web site design as well.

You can find tons of information about the Virtual Assistance Industry online. Check out http://www.vanetworking.com/ and http://virtualassistantnetworking.com/ as a starting point. If you are a dependent of someone in the military, you can take a free course at http://www.virtualbusinessowners.org/.

Having a portable career is great! You have so much creative freedom and flexibility. All you need to get started is a computer, phone, printer and the software and other hardware essential to your area of service. If you'd like to know more check out the above sites or just do a search on virtual assistance. You'll find a ton of information at your disposal. Feel free to give me a ring as well. You can reach me at (785) 728-4529. I hope this helps. God Bless!

Love it. Two MLM programs announced just after Lighthouse writes his response.

You have a lot of great answers here, I just wanted to throw it one more. A lot of insurance companies look for at-home brokers that want to run their own business. I have seen a lot of people start out through companies like Primerica and MetLife. You might want to look at an option like this. They also provide free training to their new brokers.

Good luck to you minalegend.

If payroll is your forte, then consider starting a payroll business out of your house. Charge as much or less than the larger payroll services (ie paychex or ADP) and emphasize personal service. Use an application like Quickbooks as your tool. Consider outsourcing the work to others working from home, or other college students around the country.

Starting a business from home is always an adventure! From what you are saying I get the impression that you are looking for a way to start a business from home without a large investment.

First of all, most of the "Opportunities" you see online are not legitimate. Beware of anyone who asks you for an upfront investment. Beware of anyone who claims they have the "secret of success"

If you are interested in establishing a legitimate home based business I would suggest taking a look at my company's "eBC Venture Program" We pay start up costs for online businesses and you can find out more about the program at www.ebizcharger.com.

Essentially we enable potential online business owners to launch their online business risking our money instead of their own. Whether or not it is for you only you can decide but it is worth a few minutes of your time to check it out.

Minalegend, you may visit our corporate site at www.ubcoa.com for a faster load.

The www.ebizcharger.com site sees alot of traffic at certain times of day and has a significant amount of dynamic html scripts in it which can cause lag times depending on the type of pc you have and the amount of traffic we are recieving at the time.

The bottom line is that there is the potential of launching a legitimate online business with your choice of products and/or services without you having to spend a dime to start it. We dont dictate to our clients what products or services to market.

In fact we even provide direct access to over 3000 Manufacturers and Wholesalers that will ship directly for the small merchant so that there is no need to maintain an inventory. As long as the product or service is moral, legal, and ethical we are ok with it.

Information packets sent from the ebizcharger.com host server matched two attack signatures of the type I noted. Our firewall system discarded the packets and severed the connection, per protocol, so there isn't much more I can tell you.

I posted this as a "caution" to all members (including you), rather than reporting the post or requesting its removal, because the fact that a viral attack signature was detected by our system, while reliable (I hope), is not a guarantee that an actual attack was attempted. It looked like a duck and quacked like a duck, so we figured better safe than sorry, wouldn't you agree? Hopefully, other members with good firewall systems can try it, and if they have no problem, post their results. Knowing if this detection was unqiue to our software would help our system security folks, too, of course.

Thanks!

In response to Lighthouse and Drivehard...I appreciate you bringing these concerns to my attention and our Server Maintenance people have scanned the server and found it to be free of Virus' and/or any Malicious Scripts.

I was informed that it may be possible that your servers firewalls may be misinterpeting our Dynamic Scripts (which create the movement on the home page) as potential hazards to your systems....which they are not.

I did notice a lag time when I loaded the homepage as well but that seems to be resolved at present. If any of you would like more information on the eBC Venture Program you may also visit us at www.ebcventureprogram.com , which is free of any scripts of any kind and is strictly a static page.

Lets take a moment to define that UBCOA1.
What are the total costs of the project?
There are MANY IT Consultants that do not charge an initial fee.
It all comes down to the project charges overall.

CorpCons08... Thats a fair question, and great advice for any aspiring business owner.

To answer your question our clients never actually pay us a dime. We provide their entire eCommerce Infrastructure, Domain Registration, Website, Hosting, eCommerce Platform, Product Sourcing, Training in Effective Internet Marketing, an initial Advertising and Marketing Budget for use in Online Marketing, Training to bring them up to speed on running an eCommerce Business, Reimbursement for the cost of their Business license should one be required in their Municipality, Consulting Services, ongoing Support, as well as providing their Payment Processing capablitty.

Because we are an ISO for the Card Associations and because we provide our clients with payment processing capability we earn processing fees everytime one of our clients customers purchases from their online business. We end up profiting about 1% of each sale, not very much in the grand scheme of things, but it is how we recoup our initial investment and earn a return on our money..

The only expenses that the client is responsible for is their month to month operating expenses....just as in ANY business there is always the cost of doing business.

I guess what needs to be clarified here is that we are not web developers or IT Consultants.
i dont know that their is an actual definition for what we do. As far as we know we are the only company we are aware of that operates this way.

In fact, last year the US Dept of Labor recommended us to Veterans Outreach Specialists in Unemployment Offices nationwide as a means of mainstreaming disabled veterans back into the workforce. We are also listed in the US VetFran system as well.

Because of the nature of the program and our business model we do not have a "Sign Up" process and potential Clients are subject to an interview process so that we may select the best possible candidates for the program. We essentially look for people who have the Desire to own and operate their own online business, can follow directions, and are self starting motivated people. It simply wouldnt make sense for us to spend money on people who won't actually put out any effort. If we can identify the above character traits in a potential client we can usually teach them what they need to know to run their businesses successfully.

If you take a look at our websites you will note that we do not make any fantastical claims in regards to earning potential and make sure that our clients realize that no one can guarantee their success. We dont subscribe to the "cheerleader" mentality trying to convince people that they are just going to kick back and let the money roll in. We let them know right up front that business is work and that just like in the physical world it takes time, effort, and know how to make a business thrive.

By following our current business model we essentially tie our profits into those of our clients. If they dont make money, then neither do we. Essentially we have a vested interest in seeing our clients succeed and do our best to underpromise and over deliver...

I hope that answers your question to your satisfaction. If you have more...feel free to fire away...

Maybe this will help, LUCKIEST

h3. 6 Steps to Small Business Success

1. Start Smart
2. Plan Ahead
3. Set up Systems
4. Seek out Sales
5. Aim for Growth
6. Leverage Opportunities

1. Start Smart.
Identify a niche. Don't compete to be the lowest cost provider. Look
for what makes your product or service unique and adds a special value
for the client and charge for that value. Every business has many
facets. Start with what you know and like; start a business that has
meaning to you. Keep in mind that we don't know what the future holds,
many of the jobs and businesses of tomorrow don't exist today. You can
create your own success.

Now is the time to dream. To start smart, you should like the idea of
the business. The way to earn a good income and build wealth is by
serving clients well, making their life better in some way-it's more
than filling a need in the marketplace. To succeed you want to test the
idea to make sure your potential clients like the idea too. Test your
ideas.

2. Plan Ahead.
People often ask me why bother with a business plan? Look at the
lottery as an example. You may get lucky and get the winning ticket,
but the odds are against you when you rely on random chance. I'm a risk
taker...but not that much, minimize the risk of going into business and
maximize your potential for success. Take the time to write a plan of
how you get from point A to point B. A plan gives you a clear future
focus and increases your chances of success.

The first rule of a start-up is put some of your own money in the
business. As the owner you must be willing to capitalize the business.
The second rule is put as little of your own money as possible in the
business. Prepare your plan and look for funding for your business from
multiple sources, which can include a business loan or business line of
credit.

Don't go it alone. Plan ahead now to build your team. Your team may
include a CPA and an attorney that you work with as needed. Add a
mentor from your industry and get a SCORE mentor to help you plan for
success. No one has all the answers. You get more ideas and information
by building a success, support team that can help you plan ahead.

3. Set up Systems.
The most basic system every business should have is a good financial
system. Ask yourself how am I going to generate enough income to
support myself and my family. Begin here. Put together a personal
budget, so you know what it costs you to live. Now, you can move on to
the business budget and sales planning, so you can see how many sales
you need to break even and make a profit. The start-up expense plan,
operating budget and your accounting software are vital to your
success.

4. Seek out Sales.
The daunting question is how do you go about seeking out your first
sale. Recognize that since you don't have a big ad budget to be seen by
everyone, you need to target a niche and get connected in your market
community, be it local, regional or national. You need other people
selling for you-not employees-goodwill referrals. Get out and talk to
as many people as you can. Join organizations that would have clients
for your product or service. Become a visible part of your market, and
then ask for the sale. You begin the sales process with people that you
know. Yes, it's okay to start with friends and family as your first
customers, and then broaden from there.

5. Aim for Growth.
The basic tenant of creating a company is that you own the company. You
are not just creating a job for yourself. It's less risk and less
investment to get a job. Building a business is creating a company that
is more than the job itself. Think about the future. How large do you
want the company to be in terms of sales, net profit and employees?
Your answer to each of these questions will influence how you grow.
There are varying costs and profits associated with growth. It's
important to make a deliberate choice early about how you want to grow
your company.

6. Leverage Opportunities.
Good luck. Good fortune. Good timing. All play a part in business. As a
business owner, be very clear about your core focus for the business
and how it serves clients. Your core business is what pays the bills.
Then, as an entrepreneur you are about opportunity. When you see a
potential opportunity or stroke of luck measure it against your core
business focus. Good fortune is great, when it matches your vision for
the business. Always consider if a good opportunity is the right fit
for your business. If something looks great, but it's not in sync with
your long-term plan and budget, think carefully before committing your
company's resources.

CorpCons08, Thanks! I figure if you took the time to ask....I should take the time to answer your question as completely as possible.

As you mentioned....there are alot of scams out there and steering clear of them can become a fulltime job for an aspiring business owner....especially for a home based one.

That is one of the things we had to take into consideration when designing the program. We could have easily charged an upfront fee but decided against it. The downside is that we hear from literally droves of people thinking that they will get a free handout and getting thru them all is a major undertaking.

Thanks for the explanation. I tried the UBCOA site with the same result, plus that website tried to push in an "unnamed program" from an "unknown publisher," so our security software harped about that, too.

Do you have ads on CareerBuilder.com? Interestingly, we can follow links from there to what appears to be the same domain destinations with no problem whatsoever.

If this is the same firm (United Business Concepts of America), you're obviously not trying to "hide" from anyone -- so might I suggest you add some info to your profile page in this community?

Too much money can be a dangerous starting point as too little money. Let's combine two popular phrases:

  • Do what you love and the money will follow.

  • Find a need a fill it.

Start by making list of what you love doing. Next research the need for it. If you do that you'll also test how serious you are about starting a business. Then post another question asking for advice on the business idea you determined is the best match for what you love and a need for it.

There are many business that you can start from home... What you want to do is to go to your states website and see what qualifies as home based business. I see that you like accounting and sales. You also mentioned that you have tried ebay but are runnin out of suppliers.

Check out this websites resources for a list of the top ebay certified wholesalers.

http://www.sourceitllc.com

This is a start. But as mentioned in previous post you need a good business plan as well as something that you are passionate about, otherwise your interest will fade with the 1st negative experience that you have with business.

You have to stick with your business and hav goals in mind or else you might find yourself drifting off to other ideas.

Look forward to hearing more about your business..

cmac125, I see you are an affiliate of DOBA. Are you aware that DOBA is NOT a true Dropshipping source? They are a middleman. They mark up the prices to turn a profit and then the merchant has to mark them up again to make any money when selling to the end user. Basically using DOBA means that a Merchant will give away half their profit right out the door!

There is one surefire way to know if you are dealing with a true wholesaler. They will ask you for a ReSale Certificate. If they dont then they are NOT a true wholesaler!

A true Wholesaler will allow merchants who are legitimate businesses to purchase for resale without paying sales tax. The only legal way to do that is for the Wholesaler to have a copy of the Merchants Sales Tax Number on a Resale Certificate. We have checked out DOBA in the past and they do not do that.

If an online Merchant is going to make money online they MUST have access to true wholesale pricing. We provide our clients with access to a directory of over 3,000 TRUE Dropshipping Wholesalers and Manufacturers they can work with directly, giving our clients access to over 3,000,000 Brand Name Products at true wholesale pricing.

Visit www.ebcventureprogram.com and find out how you might be able to launch a legitimate online business with ZERO start up costs!

I would encourage you choose a business that fits your lifestyle. If you are considering a MLM business think about what you would enjoy doing. You will be more successful if you could find a company that offers a real and valuable product that you can enjoy. When those factors exist you become a natural marketer of the product or service. That's what makes MLM business model a good alternative for those who are looking for low cost opportunities with the potential for high returns over the long term. I would encourage you to visit www.883390.worldventures.com and see what you think.

Lots of young entrepeneurs start businesses out of their homes, but having an idea is essential. Obviously you could do something web-based. I would strongly advise that you work for start-up corporation before attempting to get one going yourself, though, you'll learn tons about all the financial, legal, and internal operations for free. Anyway, that's what I did...:)

Hello minalegend,

I'm a newbie to this small business community as you can see from my sign up date. Anyway, I read

your thread and a couple of things stuck out to me: One; You'd like to start a home based business.

That's great, there's an explosion of home based businesses started by individuals that have realized the

numerous tax benefits and opportunities already placed around them. Two; You're a student

who doesn't have time to waste stocking inventory that you and your family and friends may or may not

use. Minalegend, there is a perfect opportunity for you to start a home based business today for a one

time investment of $500.

These days you can start a lot of home based businesses for very little money.

But beware as previous posters have said, check it out. Most of the MLM or network marketing companies have a very few number of highly successful people, get the numbers.

Also, one piece of advise I've given many, many times over my business career.....don't take advice from someone who hasn't done it.

Example: someone says that they can sign you up for something or other and that you can make $1000 a month. Ask them if they are making $1000 a month. If not, can they get you in contact with 3 people whom are making $1000 a month. This is basically doing your "due diligence".

Of course, the less it costs to get in, the less due diligence I would do but still get references because you don't want to waste a lot of time.

Also, generally, to do well it will take time and money. A home based business where there is less money involved usually takes a whole lot of time to make anything, so if that doesn't fit in your lifestyle, then don't go there.

You stated what you are good at and what you are doing now, but what do you like to do.

I have always had people start by making a list of what they like to do and then see if we can create a business around it. I find that people work longer and harder at things they are passionate about. And then work seems like play.

You are set for life! Keep your money, use it to feed the kids or something.

Here's what you're going to do, and everything I'm going to show you right now is free.

#1: Blogger.com or Squidoo.com
Go there, learn what they are (after you read this)

Cost for these: Zip

#2: Affiliate programs.
This is where you promote other peoples stuff via your Blog or lens
Best places to go... ClickBank.com and/or PayDotCom.com

Cost for both: Zip.

#3: SEO/SMO = Search Engine Optimization/Social Media Optimization
There are sites out there now getting over 2x the monthly page views as Google. Use them

#4: Pick your product base around something you already know a bit about. That way you'll have a leg up.

#5: Market this product in 1 of 3 ways -

Bashing = Choose 2 products that are almost exactly alike. Take the one that pays you less and pretty much demonize it. Then recomend the other product.

Praising = Write a positive review of the product and tell everyone why it's so hot

Value Added = Create an easy, free download thing which will compliment the product you promote. Tell people they can have it when they buy from you. Provide them with your email. When you get their reciept, you send them the download link.

#6: Only optimize your lens/blog for the name of the product. That way you'll drive some of the most targeted traffic possible.

Bottom line:

Save your $1000. Today you no loner need cash to launch a massive business.

Yes, I am going to suggest a network marketing company also. If you have ready anything by Robert Kiwasaki, that is what he said he would do if he had to start all over again. Or was that Donald Trump. Anyway, there are lots of companies you can start up for under $1,000. Just depends on what your passion is. I started out in Arbonne three years ago and started a gourmet scented candle business a year ago. Check out www.LindseysCandleShop.com or email me at tdferrari@bellsouth.net.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do!

Hi, minalegend

I have what could be the best home based business for you regardless of your background. several months ago i started with ytb (your travel biz) and it has proven to be the right biz for me. i started this business for $500 and already i made my invesment back not to mention the tax breaks and the cheap travel i can book for myself. yes, this could be considered mlm but we are selling a service and product people use everyday. i'm already in the tourism business so this was a no brainer for me. after some research i jumped right on it while the market is still warm.after i enrolled i got a site similar to expedia selling mostly what they sell on their site. the only thing you would have to do is advertise i mean face it you cant sell a service if people don't know about it. i like to think that my success from this biz is because i focus more on selling the product and not really building a team
eventhough building a team who can sell just like you will be financially rewarding. check it out for yourself and compare it with expedia. go to my site and look around and check out the presentation at www.bigfunstravel.biz email me back to let me know how you like it at dwongillis@verizon.net

My company "Cyberwize" too has been featured in the Your Business at Home magazine...and Millionaire magazine has also featured Brad Hager one of the companies TOP income earners, who has made over 9million dollars in a few years and has also vowed to create 100 millionaires in the next 5 years. Both of these article are available on my website.... www.cyberwize.myvoffice.com/Danielle go to my links and you can read the actual articles. This company does not require you to fill your garage with a product that noone is interested in....I tell you what though a garage full would do me a lot of good right now b/c I can't keep it. This product is changing the world. And is already international. The health and wellness industry has been pegged to become a trillion dollar industry within the next few years....right now it is a billion dollar industry (70 to be exact). Homebizpro is correct by saying that you want to position yourself in front of the of a procuct that does the selling for you.

It sounds like he works for a pretty good company. I would read up on the both of them and try one of them. Either way you can't loose. Just remember.....you get out of it what you put into it.

I am an indendent consultant with Ambit Energy, and yes this is an MLM. However, after gaining research I found that there is a mutual satisfaction from the consultant and customer aspect. As an Ambit Energy consultant, you will be able to provide great savings and travel rewards to Texas, New York and now Illinois energy consumers. In addition, you will be able to build of team of consultants that can assist in maximizing your overall income.

Are you skeptical?
Your skepticism is natural, but the numbers are real. This is an
opportunity that hundreds of people in Texas, New York and Illinois are already becoming a
part of everyday, and thriving. Individuals who have already attained
success in their respective professions but seek financial
independence. Make sure you take the time to give this a good look and
you will see the opportunity, and give me a call so I can show you
more. Go ahead and check out www.suburbanillinois.energy526.com to
get a better idea of what this is all about and give me a call or send me
an email, so I can further introduce you to this awesome opportunity. Or view my business website at www.suburbanillinois.ambitenergy.biz

Danielle;

Know Mark McCool, the owner, and like him. He's a good guy. Cyberwize is a good company and the Tunguska product is a good product. That being said, I'm not a big fan of Brad Hagar and there's no reason to get into the details publicly. Your post is a good one regarding Cyberwize, but I would drop the info on Hagar and the line regarding he vows to create a 100 millionaires. Anyone can make a vow or a bold statement, but it doesn't mean anything. We could say we're going to create 1,000 millionaires in the next 5 years...It is an empty statement...doesn't mean anything or guarantee that it will happen...

Have to call it the way I see it (and I'm not trashing the company or their lead product or I wouldn't have made the positive statements I made) and I base my comments on us having had over 75 years of experience between us in the industry and combined groups of over 500,000 distributors, $2.3 billion in sales, and over $12 million earned between us in our last 3 companies.

If we were not top distributors in a more successful company, Cyberwize would be a company we might consider, but the company we're involved with is more successful and in more countries and has a more experienced ownership and management team than Cyberwize, which doesn't mean that Cyberwize is not a good company (it is) or that it will not be successful (it is a good solid little company with a good future and they do have some good products in addition to the Tunguska product)...

Good luck in the future! If things don't work out for whatever reason, be sure to reach us at themlmdreamteam@hotmail.com

I appreaciate your comment...however; at the same time I just want to say that b/c of your opinion of some one and how you feel about them has nothing to do with what you can learn from them. I've met him(Brad Hager) and happen to like him. He is very blunt about the business and that's how I prefer someone to be. You either want it or you don't. And yes, anyone can make a vow to create 100 or 1000 millionaires, but I believe that he is going to try. He is accessable as is all the other top earners in the company and that makes all the difference in the world. How many millionaires do you know, that take the time to mentor a lowly someone like me? I don't know what you know about him but I am goinig to gain as much knowledge from his as I possibly can.

Thank you

Try www.mynamewebsite.com or contact me to help you start your business for as little as $200 for the entire year, and may be getting other people to open their online business under your business so you can get commission. It is basically a .com name online store. I started mine a year a go, and I am already getting a monthly direct deposit to my bank. I can help you set it up. You only need to promote it as most of the programming work is done for you, even credit card transactions or dealing with customers.

Hi minalegend. Congratulations for understanding that a home-based business gives you control of your time and money. As mentioned in some of the other responses, it is important to find something that you can be passionate about. This will keep you focused and motivated. Additionally, check out the news. Find out what concerns people have, so you know what they need. This will help you determine your market. I am a business owner in the Health and Wellness industry. We support individuals on their way to taking care of themselves, inside and out. We also help them become business developers. If you want to learn more, check out http://www.warmspirit.com/. Our customers love our soy based candles that you can use to massage into your skin for healing and pampering. The list of products is too long to go into in this forum, but I will be happy to discuss offline. I am loving this business! My personal website is www.warmspirit.org/lindagiles. I have also taken my wonderful products, and combined them with my creativity and started a company with my college-daughter in gift ideas. Check out www.spacakesbylinda.com. Minalegend, I do not allow my products to be sold on ebay or any other auction site (so if you see it, report it to me, and YOU get rewarded) but if you are a computer savvy person, there are a number of great ways you could be making some real money selling my products. My business is very people-oriented, and I care very much about giving back not only to those partners that work with me (that is right, I don't have employees, everyone is a partner and earns stock while earning their commission checks), but also to the communities that we serve. If you are really serious about making money, then contact me. I will help you start your home based business with absolutely NO money out of your pocket--after all--since when do you have to PAY to get a great job?!?!?! Good Afternoon!

Home based businesses are a great way to earn money while working from home, especially while attending college. There are some unique challenges present - the reply addressing concerns with some of the home based MLM opportunities demonstrates one such challenge. Currently working as an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics (and loving every minute of it!) the best thing that I can recommend is to find something that you are passionate about, talk to people who are currently working the business to gain insight into their experience with the company - and then make a decision based on what is right for you. Best Wishes!

Hi Minalegend, It looks like you have got a lot of good proposals, but I take the chance to tell you about this great business opportunity.

Let me tell you a little about the business first, and then you can go to the links and get a full presentation.

First I should present myself. I am a home business owner living in Norway. Yeah, far from you, but that is one of the great things with this business, its international - but you do not have to travel a lot to do your business. I am 49 years young and have been with this company for a couple of years. I am partnering with my son, so we are a small team.

I can se you are good with computers, - that is not a highly needed skill for this business, but it will help you a lot. Do you like to sell? Me neither - and that is why I chose this company at the first. We do not sell at all, because people use the services we offer already - and we just help them to save on their monthly overheads. And you will get Residual Incom from the services your customers use every day.

Donald J. Trump is a well known person in the US and great parts of the World too. Almost 2 years ago he agreed to support and recommend the business, and the company i work with. At first he's people used almost a year to look into the company and our owners, before he agreed to endorse us.
He said, the only thing I don't like with this company, is that I do not own it. And he never will. He will
attend on our next conference in New Jersey in June.

Every people can afford this: the small investment is only $499.

Look at this links to hear what he says: http://video.acninc.com/Misc/Trump/trump.
html

The company has been there for 15 years, and their growth are still 40% a year.

Go to this link and get the hole picture: http://www.wealthbuildersplan.info

To get back to me you can just use the email: sc@sneisen.com, or try to call me on 617-553-4463
Best regards

The Dynamic Outsourcing System allows Requesters to post projects and work tasks and allows Providers to bid on those projects and work tasks.

This creates an ideal work environment for people that have the appropriate skills and desire to work from home.

Registration is currently FREE (through the end of June 2008), so it is an ideal time to try the system.

Home-Based business usually do not have the same amount of money for start up as other businesses.

How do you get off the ground without funding?

How about a professionaly designed cost-effective website?

A website does not have to cost an arm, a leg, and your 401k to implement.

Hi dubbsceo!

You are exactly right about most MLM companies only caring about recruiting! You hit the nail right on the head my friend. I will suggest that you take a look at Talk Fusion. We do have a legitimate product to offer.

Such companies as Century 21, Coldwell Banker, The Greater Tampa Association of Realtors, Mike Alstott of The Tampa Bay Bucs, Lazy Days RV Dealers, numerous Automobile Dealers, Mom & Pop Shops, Art Galleries just to name a few!

I have a product that ANY business can use but also a business within itself. You can build the business (with my EXPERT help) or you can simply sell the product! The choice is up to you and only you. I will ask that you give me the opportunity to show you my friend. No pressure, your decision but you owe it to yourself to look at what I have to offer.

I am with the Executive Group of Talk Fusion, the well known Florida Fusionaires.

I WILL NOT even try to recruit anyone into my business until I get to know them more and actually speak with them on the phone in depth. Reason: I will not work with just anyone and teach them to be successful because this is not for everyone. I WILL NOT sponsor you just to say I did...I care about people more than that. I won't waste your time or mine and I DO NOT need the $$$ I would get from just sponsoring you. I want Executives that will be in this for the long haul.

The worst injustice I could ever do anyone is getting them into my business and they just leaving them hanging out there. This is the BIGGEST reason most people fail in MLM. They get sponsored and then never hear from anyone again!

You are going to look at a product and opportunity that is on the forefront of technology and cutting edge in today's world. This is no joke and I do not treat it as a small business. This is my MILLION DOLLAR business and I can show and tell you EXACTLY how to do the same and finally be able to live life on your terms.

Imagine living in your dream home, driving your dream car and enjoying your dream lifestyle. Picture yourself spending quality time with the quality people in your life. Reach your dreams while you help others reach theirs.

It has been a long time since the direct selling industry has seen something new, fresh and exciting. The same old "Me too" products are falling on deaf ears.

We are shaking it up with our amazing technology. The timing is right and the industry is ready. The number of people looking to change their lives is growing.

Talk Fusion Video Email is filling that need...

With Talk Fusion, a unique convergence of factors have come together right now to create a "perfect storm" of unique opportunities. Now is the time to act!

This is your chance to finally live your dreams. Huge market potential has finally arrived and YOU are in the right place at the right time!

I need your personal email address and I will send you all the info and let you look at everything. You can also email me on my personal email or call my cell anytime. You will find all of the information below.

DO NOT give up on your dreams just because someone has ripped you off (I have been there also) lied to you, not helped you, didn't support you or whatever bad experience you had. MLM is THE fastest way to wealth today if you have the right product, right timing, right compensation, right people and the experienced help to get you there.

Guess what...I have ALL of the above. Let me know when you want to go to the next step.

No, not all MLM are strictly about recruiting. In fact, when you find one with a great product, MLM is the only way to go. Ask any financial strategist, they will tell you that "leveraged" income is the best way to become wealthy. So let me introduce you to SendOutCards.

Dubbsceo,

I am an entrepreneur with an MLM, Fuel Freedom International (FFI) Home Based Business. Basically any recruiting is done through my website. When individuals choose to join as a Distributor they join because it affords them the opportunity to buy wholesale and sell retail. Their cost, $59.95 and they get their own website.

When an individual chooses to pay more than $59.95 to join as a Distributor they receive products for inventory and an increased commission value opportunity. I used my inventory as samples and for personal use. Many of the satisfied customers have become remarkable entrepreneurs.

I am proud of my MLM Home Based Business that affords me the opportunity to experience global sales at all hours day and night, and track it. I am always in awe of this. I am even prouder of the environmentally friendly products I sell. MLM businesses can deffinitely make a fine living for individuals who define their objectives and targets and put forth determination. Like any business you get out of it what you put into it. I find this to be an amazing venture and would not strike MLM off the list of choices prior to serious review.

Hello,

To keep this initial message brief, I am a college student in the
fashion industry. I spent the last 12 months in a partnership called
The Outspoken. Our primary job was starting a clothing company but fell
apart quickly. Though the company fell apart I spent all that time
doing research on the industry and making samples. I've sold quite a
few shirts in that time as well but between expenses and doing small
numbers the actual profit was slim to none. I just started my own
company and have incorporated and I need to secure 10k seed capital. If
this seems interesting please contact me as soon as possible so that I
can fill you in on the details.

It all depends. Find your passion. Look at where you spend
most of your time, doing what? When people say something to you, listen very
carefully because they might be telling you about your ability, passion and
interests or where you might be best at and that provides you to create your
own interest/passion based business. Look at Big Idea on CNBC TV and learn more
about it.

If you do not find one and if you are interested please take
a look at www.monavie.com, www.monavieonthemove.com and to get
involved reach me at www.mymonavie.com/nishit

Hope to see you on the other side. Look within and you will
find better deal. Associate with people who care and give you proper direction
rather than sell you something. Money will follow you if you allow your passion
to grow. I hope you find one and have success following it.

ncognito...

I have never had any success with MLM. Everyone I know that has ever gotten into a MLM company has put more IN to the company than they have gotten out. MLM's in general are scams, making the owners wealthy at the expense of everyone else below them. I have been involved with over 20 MLM companies over the years. I have not made back a tenth what I put into them. I hope that satisfies your question.

Not at all.

I'm very sorry that the MLM's you chose to become involved with were not on solid footing. I'm sorry that you did not realize how "residual" income works, that it is get rich SLOW and not get rich quick.

When I began looking for a home-based business, I'd been scammed a few times before, so I checked out quite a few things and quickly dismissed them, because I knew that....

There is no such thing as getting rich quick!

You can't start a successful business for free!

You don't make money unless you're selling something! (Whether it's a service you provide or a tangible product, in some way or another, you must sell something. )

I also knew what I wanted in a company, it had to fit my criteria:

It had to be a valuable, useful product. I was not falling into the trap of those companies who are only interested in signing up more dealers, but don't have a real product that stands on it's own.

  • The product had to be something that had not already saturated the market.* (everybody doesn't already own it).

  • It had to be something that had growth potential.* (lots of people will want to own it)

  • It had to be able to be sold at a retail level,* without every customer having to become a dealer!

  • It had to have a network marketing type of compensation plan.* (you earn commission on the sales of those under you)

So it took me a while but I found it. And it is an MLM company. Now that I've learned more about them, I won't work for anything BUT an MLM from now on. Most people don't realize how MLM works, but maybe this will help explain:http://www.teamshephard.com/images/residual_income_tattoo.jpgYou start off with a lot of work for little pay, and end up with a lot of pay for little work. Trouble is, 95% (proven fact) of people QUIT before they get to the point where it pays them back (you included obviously). But do not blame the fact that you were ill-informed on the MLM's themselves.

I'm sorry that you did not succeed in your ventures, but do not blame it on all MLM companies. MLM's will make a lot of us little guys rich in the next few years if you're willing to work.

I LOVE MY MLM!

Alan

incognito, just so you understand my objection to mlm clearly.
1. I know all about residual income
2. the companies i personally was with, i was with for years, not days. footing? hows Amway, nuways intl. and several other multi billion dollar companies.
3. before you get the idea that i believe in "get rich quick" schemes. there are no such things, except a winning lottery ticket!
4. I do not follow "gurus" of any kind
5. a hard reality is, you may sell a ton of mangosteen where you are, sell thousands of itv products, maybe even recruit thousands of people under you in your mlm thing. however alan, not every product sells in every area.
6. after investing thousands of daollars over the years, following every thing the upline told me to do. I haven't recouped enough to say i made a nickel yet. just a well you have to buy more, and sign up for this promotion, auto ship that.
7. lastly, i am 40 not 14. in my humble opinion, to which i am entitled, mlm's are for the most part scams. there may be one or two out there that are legit. i just haven't found one yet.

you believe in them. thats your god given right. i do not!

I absolutely agree here with Allan. He is wise!
Passive-residual is your goal. If you do not have passive-residual income say
BYE BYE to wealth! It may come to you but not easily and on top of it you will
not have time, health, family and friends to enjoy it! What is the point of
MONEY and LIFE when you have no time to enjoy what you were able to manifest in
this world?

Allan has said it right. Do you due diligence. I said the
same earlier. Besides, there is a word call LEVERAGE! You have an incredible
leverage of TIME and MONEY and not your own but every one involved. Where do
you think you may get that? Just imagine if you are working hard for 60 to 80
hours a week. How does that feel? What if you work 10-15 hours a week and 50,
100, 10000, 100000 people working under you, under your leadership, repeating exactly
what you do and everyone succeeding (look at the compensation plan of a company
before you say anything else, please!! It gives you more ideas where you are
going) under your own guidance. Can you ever imagine the joy feel your life?
What if majority of them become Financially Free?

What if everyone helps everyone? This is how you work with
others in MLM company. You learn to be a leader. You will become a people
person. Things fall apart, you get up and do it again and guess what? You will
succeed. Life is full of adventures. This is one of them at a very low cost and
the benefits are far beyond your imagination!

Listen to your leaders. Learn from those who are successful in
a business. Follow step by step what they have to teach and success will follow
you every where you go. That is all you need to do. If you try to re-invent the
wheel, which many of the folks in MLM do and I am no exception to that, by
doing so you pay big time in terms of time, leverage, lack of success and
limited resources. Before you know you are isolated and lonely! Not a good
combination to have.

Just follow your guts…you are more aware than not! Nobody
can scam you if you are aware. Do not let any one do that to you but at the
same time do not give black eye to every MLM out there. There are some
spectacular business out there. Pick one. I am in one and I live a very happy
life.

Enjoy and trust your self first…That is all..

I would love the opportunity, but I don't bring anyone into the business without showing them what it is upfront. I need about 20 minutes with you on the phone in front of your computer. Once I show you the product, once I show you who the potential customers are, once I show you the growth potential, then you tell me that I'm lying.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but my Mother-in-law passed away Friday and things have been hectic.

John, I perfectly understand your not believing in MLM as a successful way to make any wealth. I was in Amway as well back in the early 90's and did not make a dime. But hay the soap and vitamins were great. Just could not use my garage do to the inventory. LOL

But then again my mindset was not in the right place for that arena anyway at that time in my life. Just so you know I am not try to pull a fast one here by asking questions I truly would like to understand what you have been through with all of the companies you have been with associated with.

For me and my stint with Amway It was all of time spent locating prospects and then spending more time trying to warm them up and get them to meetings and sales presentations. What were some of your defining moments that perhaps you should move on to something else?

I disagree with going with SMC. Their products are overpriced (even at the member price) and the quality is low. Sure I was able to make a few bucks with their stuff on eBay, even enough to cover the membership enrollment cost, but it certianly became over saturated and difficult to profit with.

I guess I am against the others and am going to stick with my MLM since it is working for me.

Dear Minalegend,

You mentioned that you have already been engaged in some ecommerce with ebay however, you didn't mention the type of product/s you sold? The Internet is still the cheapest way to work from home provided you have skills and some guidance. I have two great resources for you to check out. The first is "The Internet Marketing Center". www.marketingtips.com This is Corey Rudl's company now being run by Derek Gehl since Corey's sudden and untimely passing a couple of years ago. Sign up for their free newsletter and you'll get tons of great info about marketing on the internet. Secondly, there is a great company which is now called "One Source" run by Chris Malta. It used to be called "Worldwide Brands" which included access to their "Drop Ship Source Directory" and you should still be able to find your way there using the following link, www.worldwidebrands.com . If you can locate a good dropshipper who can supply your product line then you'll never have to handle products or run to the post office ever again! I do hope you have found this information insightful. Due let me know if I can be of any further service.

All the best,

Winelight

One Source is a great site, although the subscription price is a bit steep. One thing to keep in mind, if you are going to be buying products at wholesale, you will need to have a tax id number. If the company does not require you to have a tax id number, chances are you aren't truly buying wholesale. You will want to check with your state government for obtaining a tax id number. Hi Minalegend:

I believe you have lot of talents! I am not good at lot of things that you are
good at! To me that is a talent! Why not network with other students who are
able to share your vision, interest, passion and other talents that you might
be lacking! If nothing works then making money together will work regardless! You
are studying Biz administration and accounting. Are you familiar with Peach
Tree and Quick books etc? These days anybody can learn those soft wares easily.
Why not go to a local business owner and ask them if they need help with their
business? Their accounting and why not bring new ideas to them? You might say
what do I know? Well, you know a lot! Almost everyone gets lost after they come
out of college; get to the real world to find out that everything is so
confusing or upside down in real world! Instead talk to the business owners.
The only negative outcome will be they will say "no" to you! You will
learn to take "no" and get better at it! But what if someone says
"yes" instead then what! Well, you have got the perfect opportunity
then, don't you? Do not invest your money into things which you have no passion
for. Mind you! You will make some money but it will be a drag!

It is not the money brings the money. It is your skills, invested with savvy
business ideas; virtually no upfront cost to you makes lot more sense since you
do not have enough start up cost. Talk to people. They will guide you. Business
owners usually are very helpful to a young person trying to break out!

This is called investing in your self. Launch a website which can teach lot of
people how to use computers and charge a membership fee or say how to build
their own web sites, may be online course on any of these ideas. Help other
business people who do not have websites. Make it available initially at a
lower rate than your market niche. I could go on and on. Think like a business
owner who runs the business but does not have to be constantly there to run a
business. Your business, say, runs even if you are not there. Br free now!

That is the quickest way to Financial Freedom.

Good Luck!!

Real quick, and you've probably received similar responses.

1. First, if you're thinking about starting a business from you're home, be sure that there are no statutes (rules, contract agreements, etc.) prohibiting you from doing so. If there are, then you have only two real options: either move or shut down your home-based business. One homeowner association even learned that someone was buying-and-selling stocks from their home and took it to the extreme. How? I suppose the person started talking about it or something. (The statutes were very old and before the days of internet by the way.) Sometimes, the only real concern is "traffic flow" with neighbors being very understandable and make a SPECIAL exception based on the age of this statute.) For this reason, I mentioned the statutes first.

2. Some people favor MLM whereas others dispise them. Wal-mart is an example of multilevel marketing from the truck drivers who bring the goods to the greeters who meet customers at the door, and everyone gets paid. Remember, the "secret" to MLM that most people overlook is IT IS YOUR BUSINESS. Run it like a business owner, not an employee.

3. "Brainstorm" with your friends and people who you DO know and who you DO trust. They might have much better ideas of what kind of home-based business that might be best for you.

4. Since you are in school, you know the value of doing your own homework.

5. Do not fear failure but LEARN at least one thing from it.

These five things might be what you might consider, but remember that you have a brain. Use it. :o)

Just one question then one comment.

Did Thomas Edison fail 1000+ times in creating the light bulb or learn 9,999 ways it didn't work then apply what he learned until it did work?

Same age and successfully learned something new from each time that one didn't work for me.

Another MLM chiming in! LOL! But ding! ding! ding! This is the only one endorsed by Donald Trump. The startup cost is $500 and it does take work. But if you put the time in now, you'll reap the rewards in the next few years. It's not a get rich quick, but a get rich slow. Which is still better than a get rich never.

FEMMART i have taken a look at the presentation and i do agree everybody needs a plan b business. what i may find difficult is that this requires us to sell each month to get compensation. Which is true, you should get paid for selling. However, a true residual means you sell once and you get paid month after month. For example, in ACN we sell services. ACN can provide Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Alltel, you name it. We even sell DirecTV. We sell this service once and we get paid every month that the bills gets paid.

Please look at the opportunity and let me know if you have any questions. www.telecommunicate.acnrep.com
Services we offer:

Local and Long Distance
Internet
Digital/Video Phone Service
Wireless (All the major carriers)
Satellite TV (DirecTV and soon Dish Network)

I have a business you can check out and see for yourself.
Where are you located.?
Go to www.femarttravels.com and check out the entire website but more importantly watch the presentation
and make a decision for you.

I have taken home over six figures from this in 8months so you can do this alongside other things you have going on and you dont have to report to anyone.

Is six figures automatic? NO. Captial NO but you will determine your own potential.

Well, if you really watch the video ytb presentation, you will get the gist of it.There are two stream of income. One you get others involved and the other you do yourself.

Let me tell you what i do so you can understand how i have been successful at it.

I have people who signed up for the service and they use it for all their travels. If they have to fly anywhere or do anything then they go to their own site and they get a commission for their travels. I get paid when they get paid. I dont have to sell anything to them.I am giving them a way to get something back.

Secondly, i organize cruises for families, churches etc and by them booking their cruises through my site, i get paid. The resudial income here comes when someone signs up and i dont have to maintain them and they use the service.

I understand what ACN does and i can relate to it and you may find it interesting to know that i actually have something similar as part of my portfolio but the grounds i gain from this travel suppasses the telecomms one. I have globallink.

When i go to attend the telecomms conference, every person i meet on the plane, i share my website with and people sign up not necessarily for the network marketing aspect but the savings they get from their travels and their family.

Do you know there is also wedding registry provided with this. Flowers instead of using 1800flowers.com?Car rentals and so on.

If you are not convinced, i encourage you to visit my site the next time you have to travel and use it instead of Travelocity,Expedia or cheaptickets.

Did you know it is actually a marketing arm of travelocity created in an effort to minimize the competition posed by expedia, orbitz and cheaptickets? If you check out the site and try to do a booking and try to do the same on travelocity, you will see that the site are the same and the fares are the same.

Thanks for taking time to check it out

Is Network Marketing Just a Scam?

There's a huge difference between network marketing and pyramid schemes. Learn the truth here.

By Janice Hill

Some friends continue to try to recruit me into network marketing deals that seem like some type of money game or pyramid. Other friends tell me they're illegal and I'll get into trouble. How do I know what's legal and legitimate?

A: To help you understand what network marketing is, I must first explain what it isn't. First, network marketing isn't a pyramid scheme. Pyramids are programs similar to chain letters where people just invest money based on the promise that other people will put in money that will filtrate back to them and somehow, they'll get rich. A pyramid is strictly a money game and has no basis in real commerce. Normally, there's no product involved at all, just money changing hands. Modern-day pyramids may have a product, but it's clearly there just to disguise the money game.

Network marketing is a legitimate business. First, it's based on providing people with real, legitimate products they need and want at a fair price. While some people do make a lot of money through network marketing, their financial benefit is always the result of their own dedicated efforts in building an organization that sells real products and services.

Pyramids are illegal and are based on taking advantage of people. For a person to actually make money in a pyramid scheme, someone else has to lose money. But in network marketing, each person can multiply his or her efforts, skills and talents by helping others be successful. Network marketing has proved itself as part of the new economy and a preferred way to do business here and around the world.

Network marketing isn't about taking advantage of your friends and relatives. Only a few years ago, network marketing meant retailing to, and sponsoring people from, your "warm list" of prospects. Although sharing the products or services and the opportunity with people you know is still the basic foundation of the business, today we see more people using sophisticated marketing techniques such as the Internet, conference calling and other long-distance sponsoring techniques to extend their network across the country.

Network marketing isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. Of course some people do make large amounts of money very quickly. Many would say those people are lucky. But success in networking isn't based on luck. (Unfortunately, money won't sprout wings and fly into your bank account no matter what someone has promised you.) Success in network marketing is based on following some very basic yet dynamic principles.

Now let's discuss what network marketing is. Network marketing is a serious business for serious people. It's a proven system where the design, creation and expense the corporate team has gone through becomes a road map for your own success. Just follow the simple, proven and duplicable system that the good companies provide.

The real key is this: Network marketing is all about leverage. You can leverage your time and increase the number of hours of work effort on which you can be paid by sponsoring other people and earning a small income on their efforts. J. Paul Getty, who created one of the world's greatest fortunes, said "I would rather make 1 percent on the efforts of 100 people than 100 percent on my own efforts." This very basic concept is the cornerstone of network marketing.

For example, most successful people building a network marketing business do so in an organized method. They work a few dedicated hours each week, with each hour of effort serving as a building block for their long-term business growth. Then they sponsor other people and teach those people how to sell the company product and sponsor others who duplicate the process.

By helping the people you personally sponsor to sponsor others, you duplicate yourself. As this process continues, you create compound growth that can lead to hundreds or even thousands of people coming into your business. You leverage your time by helping others be successful and earn an income from all their efforts.

With network marketing, there are no big capital requirements, no geographical limitations, no minimum quotas required and no special education or skills needed. Network marketing is a low-overhead, homebased business that can actually offer many of the tax advantages associated with owning your own business. Network marketing is a people-to-people business that can significantly expand your circle of friends. It's a business that enables you to travel and have fun as well as enjoy the lifestyle that extra income can provide.please feel free to call me for more info 203-526-1744and visit my site @www.fixyourcreditplus.com.America needs these services and i must tell you 7 out of 10 people i talk to takes advantage of it.also while your on my site click on the BBB logo and see what the BBB has to say about us.We are in front of the money.

Hi Getmoney!

You are so right with your post on Network Marketing. When people start to understand and see the real opportunities with Network Marketing it is like their eyes are opened for the first time and they can really see the possibilities! In case people don't know, Network Marketing is being taught in college's today and is on the forefront of new business opportunities.

As you said the real key is getting involved in something that is a business within itself and has a product that any existing business can use. The opportunities out there today are so different than anything we have ever seen before. NM has come into the mainstream and is widely accepted today as the true way to build wealth...if you will work and are not afraid of rejection!

As you said the real key is leverage and making a smaller bit of money off of everyone in your organization. Ask yourself this...would you rather have 100% of what you do or a small % of what 100's or even 1000's of people do.

One of the other huge keys is teaching people the power of duplication and help them achieve this. You are a TEACHER in this business and must lead by example. If anyone ever tries to tell you differently then they are leading you astray.

When people tell you that you just have to sponsor a few people and then make enough to quit and retire then beware of those types. NM is an ongoing process, just like a regular business but you control all aspects and you are responsible for building it!

If you do this, listen to your upline and follow the simple already in place for you then you will be successful. DO NOT try to reinvent the wheel and do things your way...this is where most people fail. It won't happen overnight but if you don't quit and never give up then it will happen.

+*Please check out the information below and see what I can offer you. We are the NUMBER 1 team in our organization and will help ea

There are a lot of network marketing companies out there. And it is true if you want to be rich you have to do things different. Network marketing gets a bad reputation because the majority of companies are not very well established and most of the people that try networking marketing don't put the effort to become successful. If you do decide to go network marketing, choose one with a proven track record. But more importantly, give it a real shot.

I am with ACN. So what makes ACN different?

ACN is SERVICE based, not PRODUCT based.
ACN has been in business for 15 years and their revenues have quadrupled in the last 5 years.
ACN has been documented in Fortune Magazine, US Business Review, USA Today, and Success from Home Magazine. In fact, ACN was featured in the April 2008 issue of Success from Home Magazine.
Multi-billion dollar companies such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Alltel, T-Mobile, and DirecTV have now turned to ACN to market their products.
ACN has breakthrough technology and markets the video phone and soon to arrive video cell phone in America.
ACN is endorsed by Donald Trump himself. What other network marketing company can claim that?

If you want to know more, check out my website: www.telecommunicate.acnrep.com. I'll even send you a free DVD about the company. Just send me an email through the website.

This is truly a once in a life time opportunity. You have to get in now before video technology hits critical mass. In 3 - 5 years, video communications will explode. People become wealthy when they place themselves in front of trend. Telecommunications exceed $1.25 Trillion annually. I am definitely going to get a piece.

I would suggest affiliate marketing. 3 parts to it:
people, promote, comp

simple and low cost to start

companies are paying people like you and I instead of paying larger ad agencies
to promote their products and services. There is a compensation plan
tied to it. We consult in helping many professionals in this industry to
have secondary or backup incomes with the economic conditions today.

170. Re: What business can I start from my house? May 20, 2008 5:54 AM
Hi, Mina!

Congratulations to you for thinking outside the box!

My name is Jenna, and I'm new to this thread. I admit I didn't have time to read every single entry, so please feel free to ignore mine if it is redundant... I found many helpful insights myself from reading some of them....

What I wanted to say first is to state something obvious, but very important in approaching any business opportunity: No matter how proven any business system is and no matter how successful the testimonials of others are, the constantly changing factor is always the person applying the techniques. Everyone brings there own unique blend of experiences and knowledge to the table. This might mean Sally could already have the knowledge set to "go right to town" and get profitable results immediately; whereas, it could take Beth much longer to see results, because every concept was foreign and new to her... The system worked, but the people applying it were at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Any business you approach should be approached in such a way as to ask yourself, is this a viable/legal venture? Are the concepts logical? Can I afford this? And is the business plan realistic? Again, I'm stating the obvious. I'm sure these are already questions you use to filter through the thousands of ideas and various business opportunities.

With all this being said, I wanted to share with you the business that I decided on recently. I have taken my own advice and realizing every day that my results are completely my responsibility. If I take the parts of the system that ARE proven and actually apply them, the results are forthcoming. And I want to preface this by also stating that I have by no means arrived, but if you're interested in finding out which system I chose using the above criteria, then I'd be more than willing to give you more detailed information... For now, I'll just give you my actual website for you to go and check out for yourself. It's www.ProfitsAndBeyond.com. Since I don't really know what your goals are, I'm not sure if this will be helpful; but, what I like about this particular business is that it is something that is geared towards people of all skill levels--beginners right on up to gurus. I hope you found this information to be helpful. I know you're sifting through so much information right now, so don't give up! I am confident that you will find what's right for you and will help you realize your goals. That being said, what works for me might not work for you. I have no expectations but rather well wishes. I know what it's like to be saying to yourself, "There has got to be something viable out there that I could do....I hear of people everyday that are successful and working from home... What are they doing and how are they doing it to be so successful?" It sounds to me that you have a great skill set and knowledge base with which to approach anything, so hang in there! You'll get there! If you do have more questions or would like to share any insights with me, you can email me directly at sauter.jennifer@gmail.com.

I wish you all the best things in life as well as those that money can't buy,

Jenna

My organization did around 1/4 of a million in
business in the one year that I have been working my home based business.
Last Month's check was over $1,900 on top of my 50% profit I make off
everything that I personally move through my business. Over 90 people
have joined my team in that short time. Also I pay very little for advertising
to have interested contacts drop into my computer. Everything I do is on
the internet or the phone or mail. You can get involved for as little as $199.00 Check out my website only if you are
seriously interested. www.kdearnyourdreams.com.

A few months ago I was in your same shoes LOOKING.

Some friends of mine told me about this companythat sells to walmarts, wallgreens and etc.
They told me that they were adding another product which was: The Worlds First Healthy Energy Drink.

Well I was not into Energy drinks, but I took a look at it.

The Pros were: No Start up fees to the company
$1.oo per drink and that includes shipping.
The World was my Market Place
Internet Driven Business
And I have friends that are already successful.
And I would be in on the early days of the business.

They pay every week on commissions. Bonuses and car allowance are also a part of there plan.

It is a NO RISK and No Brainer Business.
It is so simple: You share the drink with people ...They order from their web page...or yours...then 5 to 7 days the product is at there door step.

Hi,

I have a Home-Based business in a niche market. Before I go any further let me ask a few questions as this business may not be for everyone.

Do you or anyone you know take vacations?
Do they receive any commissions back from those vacations?
Do you want a business you can take with you anywhere and is available 24/7?
Are you looking for a get rich quick scheme?

If you answered yes to the first three questions and no to the last, then take the time to check out my companies presentation. www.rewardtravels.biz If our company peaks your interest, please feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I urge anyone seeking a home-based business to investigate any company that interest them. We are listed on the NY Stock Exchange and are listed with the Federal Trade Commission. This is a wonderful way to start your own business at an affordable cost, but you must work it like you paid a million.

Be Blessed!

Wow...i just joined the site and it's actually my first post! I'm so excited to be on here and i took the time to read most of the replies on this thread. It seems like a lot of people have a bad opinion of MLM. I'd honestly say that it's true that it's not for everyone, but those who did not succeed at it probably have been misguided or simply tricked into something they haven't taken the time to review. When you start in MLM, make sure you stay close to those who succeed in that business and learn from them, if you don't have time for that and the company has a training program for new leads, take it and make the best of it, because when the checks start to come in, all the people who tried to discourage you and tell you that it doesn't work will stay close to you and your business will grow even faster! So don't really mind what people say..growing a business is mostly about vision. If your goal is important enough for you to put that extra effort into then go for it!! So far the opportunity that caught my attention is the ACN opportunity...it's a great system that actually works! I'm part of one of the most dynamic ACN team globally (Momentum Group) in Quebec, Canada and i've tried MLM before but this one is clearly the best way to achieve financial freedom. What i like about ACN is that in order to upgrade, you have to help your downline succeed..which makes it a team work! Newcomers are never left on their own! I'm about to attend a meeting in 3 hours and whatever people are going to tell me...i'm making money! I'm only 23 years old guys! Take a good look into that ACN opportunity and give me a call if it's something that reaches your business standards.

I was apart of ACN and what a great company it is. Network Marketing is the best industry to become a part of. I was a TEAM COORDINATOR with ACN and part of the EMPIRE TEAM working direct directly with RVP John Zentner, Mike Bisutti, Al Sageese, Jeff Weber & Judd & Tony Mintz I know most of the top producers. The only problem is ACN has been around for 15 years with a great track record. I learned everything I know from the above-mentioned leaders and I've been to over 18 Nationals. Larry Raskin is an all-star. It's just saturated. I broke out because the residual income just was not there. I found a new company that literally is ground floor. 100% matching check on anyone you introduce to the company, even if they pass you up in the company. No break away. Company also gives you a 2008 Cadillac Escalade on their credit, they also pay for insurance. You just have to drive it and put gas in it. The owner have such deep pockets that they just purchase another company that has a licensed to market in 40 countries and Canada is one of them. Imagine being the 1st person in your country to know...........WOW! Just think of the possibilities.

Actually you will be surprised what you will find. I was able to walk away from a real estate career where I was making 25k per month. The reason why I walked away is because I have two kids and had no freedom. Unfortunately when your working for someone else your wasting your time. You want to be able to find something that you can do part time around your busy schedule and over a period of time it matches what you are making on your full time career. In other words you want to find something where you can invest a little time at a time and over the long run continue getting paid on your one time effort. This my friend is called Residual Income. So work on your job full-time but work on your fortune part-time until it gets to a point where your part-time gig is matching what you are making on your full-time job. Anytime you are working for someone else and getting paid a linear income is a waste of your time.

We had a tremendous amount of people from ACN switch over including many RVP who had more than 50,000 customers.

Here's why, You get 100% matching check on anyone you introduce to the company, even if they pass you up in the company. No break away.

Imagine if you were apart of ACN 15 years ago. This is exactly where this company is at, the best part is we have the same system. Except you make more on the residual end and you don't have to worry about your team not getting qualified in order for T-Cabs to be released.

Hi M, my name is Paul and I have a great, legitimate business opportunity that you can start from home. It is on the internet, it is NOT mlm or any kind of scam or get rich quick scheme. You can earn in about 2 hours a day a realistic 500-1000 per week. It will require about 2 hours per day on the internet and will put your ebay sales experience to good use and further your marketing education. You get all the tools you need to do great business on the web with professional credibility, the advantages of being a business owner and the flexibility of working from home. I will provide you with free consultation, marketing help, and over 2500 quality products to sell that everyone buys, and at great great prices. The mark-ups are at least 100%, the site will be custom built for you and is very easy to manage and promote. You can get started for about $600 including all the tools the professionals use on your site. Get in touch with me and I'll get you all the details. I look forward to working with you!

I just signed up for this website....I'm 26 and graduated from Mansfield, PA with a business degree, I did a M.S. but took a break to make some money. I Love brain storming for small business ideas. Here is one I do now.... You could sell ATM's, Credit card Terminals, and financing with a company that could fund you completely. I do it now for one of my four side jobs. There are a ton of other ideas, but this one works for me and is already financed.

EX. Lease an ATM for 100 month. (The business could generate over 100 dollars in transaction fees a month) for 48 months with a dollar buyout at the end. That equates to 4,800 dollars. The equipment only cost 2,000 to 3,000. Which means one sale could generate 1,500 to 2,800 in one sale. There are a lot more products and ways of incentive, no boss, work when and where you want and collect money as long as you accounts are active.

A lady I work with makes good supplemental money doing whole sale/ retail internet sales. I could ask her about her wholesalers, if that is what you want to do.

Also, I need a website put up, If your good at that, I could use your services.

If you want my Phone Hit me back with a reply. It's Anthony

I own a mineral makeup and botanical skin care company, and I am looking for representatives to go to retail stores, spas, salons, etc. and sell my product. I will give you product to take to the retailers, the know how to say what needs to be said, and best of all, the only investment you have is your car!! You will be paid 15% of every order fulfilled!! This has the potential of hundreds of thousands of dollars in income in a very short time! Just think of how much product one retailer-say Costco-buys in one month-- you get them to buy my product, and YOU get a big, fat check every time you get them to place another order!! You are your own boss, you set your hours, and the BEST part is, you have tax deductions you didn't have working FOR someone!!

Let's face it! Starting even a Home Based Business can be very
frustrating. Everybody on the web seems to have the "Magic System"
that opens the floodgates and leaves cash pouring into your pockets.
Or so they claim.

How many websites, advertisements, and late night infomercials do you
have to watch, you know...that image of the guy sitting by a pool in
some resort in his bermuda shorts with his laptop and his Cocktail
claiming he made $5,000 yesterday or $100,000 last Month, before it
becomes abundantly clear that the only person making money is the
person selling the "Magic Opportunity"?

If someone is REALLY interested in helping you make money then shouldnt they assume some of the risk?

Shouldnt they have some responsibility...other than emptying you pockets and taking your hard earned cash?

We think so! Don't You?

If any of you are SERIOUS about starting your Home Based and/or Internet Based Business then we would like to talk to you.

Our Business is about helping people just like you launch their
Business with ZERO Start Up Costs. We are not MLM or Netwok Marketing
and it is not a "Loan Program" There is no pay back and the best news
of all?

Our clients never pay us a dime!

You have to think of your greatest skills. There are probably 1 or 2 things that you are really good at, whether its accounting skills or face-to-face interaction with people. Identify whatever this talent is and exploit it. Get creative. Start an accounting outsources company for small businesses. Commit time to developing yourself and your personal skills...

WOW! This is a very long thread and very interesting reading. If you want the best advise go back to what Luckiest said in the second reply you got. First let my tell you that most of the "business opportunities" and other offers of one thing or another, especially the MLM things are people trying to sell you something. Ignore them. You are already on the right track. I like your experience, it's not much different from my own, and I like the fact you are in college and working. Reminds me of my own daughter. If you don't like your job that's fine, go get something else, but don't start spending money on something that may or may not work right now. Save your money, finish college. When you graduate call me, I'll hire someone like you in a heartbeat if I need it, and by then I probably will.

You are making a HUGE mistake if you discount all MLM opportunities! The key is to go with a good company with the right people and most of all the right product. Forget about the juices, lotions and potions.

If that many people cared about their bodies and their health then MacDonalds & Burger King would be out of business. You need a product that appeals to the masses and one that any business can use in their everyday functions. Wake up people, MLM is being taught in colleges today!

I
do have an opportunity, that if you will work and do as I teach you, then we
can both find HUGE success. I have one
of the newest cutting edge products in the world today… but this isn’t the
point, is it? Most of the companies you
come across have a good product but it’s meaningless unless you have the help
and guidance that is needed in order to make the whole process work for
you. I am speaking of the process,
which makes you VERY successful!

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

I
know that people do not join a business because of a product…although this is
important, as it should be. People join
people in business because they feel the support/help is there for them, and
you need to like the people you work with.
The biggest reason people fail is because they don’t get the help and
support in order to make it work for them.
If you don’t get this then you are, in 99% of the cases, doomed to
failure!

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

One
of the first things you will not see here is a website. Everyone and their brother has a website to
direct people to…like a herd of cattle, so I will not do that to you. Just as I said before, it really don’t
matter what it is, as long as it works, you can make money and do what is right
for you and your family. The ONLY way
to ever get what you want and need in life is to help others get what they want
and need…but you also know this…right?

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

*The
only way I will give information to you is if you send an email to my personal
address at: donegnor@aol.com with your
name, email address and phone number. Very important…let me reiterate this. I will not waste your time but neither do I want you to waste mine. You also need to put: donegnor@aol.com in your address book so I
can be assured that you receive the information.*

When
you look at the info and opportunity, and you love what you see, then we can
proceed to the next step. In the
unlikely event you don’t like what you see, please if you would, just give me
your reason as to why and I will never contact you again. You will immediately get it or you
won’t…simple as that. If you have to
be sold on this then I will have to sell you over and over in order to get you
to do what needs to be done. One of the
first things that will determine if we can work together is to see if you
follow the directions in the information you receive…and I will know whether or
not you do this.

<!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]-->

I

I think it would be better to gain more experience from your working place first at this point. The business climate is pretty slow now and it's pretty hard just to survive. Experience is very important for you to build your business in the future.

I have work from home opportunity available. It isn't as easy as just cheking emails ect, but it can be much me profitable. It is a business I am starting up. I am looking for investors or a business partner. As a partner the person would never have to leave home. They can have as much or little effort as they want to put forth. Either way it can all be done for home. This is my baby and I am willing to do all the traveling and leg work. I have done a lot already. Unfortunately I feel it is so easy to make money when you have money. I have a child on the way and my wife does not want to take any unnecessary risk, no matter how small the risk would be. I know this business will be profitable. It will offer 2 features that will attract a different kind of merchant that ebay does. Once we have them, it snowballs. Just like ebay when they started with 100 items for sale. I will have almost 1000 to start.
I am in the process of starting a new online business that will rival eBay. I have been to 10 flea markets and have 855 people whom have agreed to try the site (as sellers) when it is ready. They will get 3 months free, so I can get people to the site with the sellers in place. Project on hold until I can get some financial backing. The site development is expensive. I am looking for either investors in increments of 5,000 dollars. I am willing to take on 1 partner for a larger sum. I have businesses that have agreed to buy space on the page, but the agreements are for once the site is up. Financial payoffs will be quick once the site is launched. My plan will bring profits in 3 months after site launch. With the right funding that will allow me to advertise also, will bring huge returns. Willing to discuss more after a confidentiality agreement is signed that I will have my lawyer write up.

If you or anyone else who reads this want more information or has questions please dont hesitate to contact me! I added my email. I will talk on phone as well, just dont want to post it for all to have here, but if you prefer it email me and I will call or give you my numbers/fax.

I hope to hear from you soon,

Whatever the business, you must want (love) what you do. You may want to start a small payroll business. There's an inexpensive program, www.checkmarkpayroll.com (or checkmark.com) that allows you to process payroll and tax reports. Just remember, you will have to get new clients to succeed. It may be challenging while in scholl, but if you pull it off, you'll have a great future in business.

I am looking for business partners in different states. I am with an MLM company called ACN which is being endorsed by Donald Trump. In fact, he was our keynoe speaker in the convention back in June. The business is telecommunications; local and long distance, internet, satellite TV, wireless/cellphone service, digital phone service, and the most exciting product/service, video phones. We market services that people already use and will continue to use. For an overview of the ACN business, please copy and paste the link below in a new window.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVsaYIKIEKE

We partner with Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, Alltel, DirecTV, and soon, Dish Network. You get paid a percentage of your customers monthly billing, not once, but month after month. If you are good at networking and you feel you are a business guru, I will pay your enrollment fee which is $499.00 just to prove how confident I am in this business.

Please contact me through my website if you are interested or have more questions.

www.telecommunicate.acnrep.com

Serious applicants only, I can't babysit newcomers to the MLM business but I will provide interested parties with the training materials to succeed.

MinaLegend hi,

I have posted to this forum once before. Just
thought I would follow up to see how things are going with you. Have
you decided on a home based business yet or are you still searching.
Well if you are still looking for a great opportunity such as the
following, especially iIf you are like me, you don't have ton of money
to invest, don't like to sell, don't want to keep inventory, or bother
family, friends and neighbors. Here are just a few things about this
ideal and easy to operate business:

1. The company attracts their customers through Television, Radio, and Print Advertising.

2. They allow me to purchase customers from their global base of customers to build my own customer base or organization.

3. *I earn commission on these already established and return customers.
They already use thier products, like them and return to*
  • repurchase the same product or two try others.*

4. I do not have to keep stock or inventory of any products.

5.
I do not have sell (if I don't want to) besides, I couldn't sell ice
water to man dying of thirst in the middle of the sahara. I'm just not
good at it. I've
tried and fail horribly! So I've learned to steer clear of anything that has to do with direct selling.

6. Plus, I do not have contact with customers. (Unless I want to)

7. Commissions are 40%
the first time a customer purchases and then 21% for all purchases they make
for life after that.

8. The company mails out for me Journals and Catalogs about
14 times a year, plus send a weekly email to my customers.

There
is way more I could tell, but I am running out time, I've gotta scoot.
But If you are have not settled on a HB Business and are interested in
learning more about this business. Just shoot me an email to
ms.stansbury1@gmail.com

Thank you for your time.

Yes, you are right, and that is exactly why I joined this program. It's great for the low-drive entreprenaur such as myself. I admit to my shame that I lack the drive and energy it would take to run a business that did not virtually run itself. You see, with Trivita, all of my calling, selling, pitching, inventory and shipping is done for me.

I simply purchase customers from TriVitas global customer base and these are my customers for life or as long as they stay a member by returning to make purchases or to take advantage of the opportunity (once they discover there is an opportunity). I don't talk to these customers, TriVita keeps them interested and updated with monthly mailings of thier newsletter, journals, sales and discounts. I only sell, make calls or do mailings only if I want to, and I don't want to.

You know, a six figure income is nice, but I am not dying to be rich. So I am satified with my current success. I consider myself blessed.

Take care and God bless.

NO INVESTMENT, NO BULL! I have been in the insurance business for 33 years and have been approached by everything that comes along, most wanting investments of $1,000 or higher. I have created a product that requires no inventory, pays residual income year after year and only requires your personal efforts to suceed. If you would like a complete breakdown, I can send you a attachment to your email address. Personally, I have a yahoo address for these matters to keep them seperate from my business email. It is benefit_designers@yahoo.com.

You can start building a websites sitting home. It will be a good to initiate something while exploring other avnues. Start with a nominal price and I am sure lot of people will respond. You can have a marketable product that is all natural and a management team to back it up with a duplicable system of earning a steady income for you that will replace the income you are earning now. With an initial investment of $399.99 you will receive all the tools and products you will need to demo those products to earn income immediately. There is no minimum quotas and you receive a fully operational website with your COTM membership, and an open marketing plan that you can choose how you want to build your business. Please contact me and I will send you all the facts so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not this is something that you want to commit to. I have found great success because the products themselves are such a high quality and because the manufacturer handles the shipping I do not have to keep a lot of inventory at my house, the products can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. I look forward to talking with you soon!

If you truly wish to start a business for little money, one idea is to work with companies that drop ship their products.

Drop shipping allows you the ability to list products as though they are truly yours, yet when the orders come in, multiple venders ship their products to your customers, often with your company name on the sales slip.

You will need a state Tax ID number and a merchant account that works with an e-commerce web site. Some web site companies are setup now to make this seamless for you since they provide everything you need to start selling online and you just need to provide the monthly fee based upon the number of products you wish to sell.

There is work involved and there are many things to research and there is a lot of time required, but that is necessary for most businesses to really get off the ground.

Hi. It is true that it's hard to start new business especially with little savings. But your experience and skills could make a difference. You are good with computers and have some skills with HTML. If you are willing to put some money (because nothing really is free and business certainly takes some investment) and you are diligent and persistent in achieving set goals then I think you can be successful. There are a lot of affiliate programs out there on internet (your experience with ebay tells me you may like it). Some of them good, some not worth even look for it. I have gone through a lot of them, bought quite a few, check them out, and returned within the period of "money back guarantee" before I decided which one I want to continue with. So in your circumstances and with your internet and computer skills I think there is vast area to experiment with very little investment (or no investment before you decide to work with any company). I don't know how much you know about affiliate programs. Whether you have any experience with it, or not. In any case I could recommend one of them that is in my opinion worth to take a closer look at. You can find it and check it out at http://24hourwebcash.com/gurynowicz5568 . It has the best support and competent peple to work with among all of the programs I tried. Good luck to you. Keep being positive, patient and persistent. Hold on to your dreams - they will come true.

I won't waste a bunch of time trying to pitch an opportunity. For those of you who have been reading my posts you know what I do...and very well I might add! Just let me ask you a couple of quick questions....

If you had all the money in the world you could ever want, and all the free time to enjoy it, how would your life be different?

If you keep doing what you have been doing will it get you to where you want to be financially?

Does that sound like something you have an answer for? I would like for everyone to answer the question for me. You can either answer it here or send your reply to: donegnor@aol.com

I can get you to where you want to be...done it before...do you want to know how?

You know folks, at the beginning of 2006, there began a resurgence of exciting, innovative, exciting, emerging companies, with a number of differrent business models in a worldwind explosion in the home based business maketplace. Still today estimates are that 13 million people per month are looking to enter this arena!. What was unique is people were beginning ot learn the techniques that only professional computer technicians, and programming design engineers, could understand , create and run heretofore. A concerted effort was being made, to come up with "turnkey automated systems"for the homebasedbusienss marketplace. Many of them took off like the "Goldrush". People came from all over because now they could learn the techniques of gaining quick exposure in the internet and make money reaching the masses. Eventually, software was offerred, and training provided for developing websites, and Flash presentations. Robots were now requesting friends, and bulk mailers were flooding "inboxes", and AutoPosting Classified recruiting sites, and Social Marketing Arenas. People become complacent like a virus becomes immune to an effective antibiotic. What was then a "Breakthrough", in business models, has become commonplace and people are more immune to enthusiasm, more inclined to delete emails in bulk ,without concern for real applicable "NEW IDEAS". For those already building a business "The Quest", for immediate organizational growth, and Rapid Profits,in many cases overlooked the Novice, and many people never really got the training and support they needed, to keep current with the fast past Internet Marketing Techniques Evolving. Consequently, many people stagnated with a sour taste of internet business. Many lost money, only because they never got trained and introduced to the methods that could make them succeed. Many of these people felt the program or systems, just didn't work! Others quickly deemed many programs as scams, when in fact, it was just lack of training and support actually was the "Real" culprit. Remember this as we go forward. If you look at the definition of a sponsor it truly means. "Take responsibility to introduce, train, mentor and insure the success of a protegy you have empowered. In other words, you need to understand the fundamentals of Network Marketing today. The Art of sponsoring, is the ability to Empower others to be successful, and duplicate the same in still others, to perpetuate the Financial Blessings. One must Remember,You ,become successful by empowering others, to be successful first. Look to what you can do to help others achieve what they desire to achive, and so should you prosper.

Now, In my interacting with thousands of people at seminars and conventions over the years. I have assimilated analysis of what we are experiencing. In the early part of 2008 eight we experienced a miriad of factors contributing to a plateau ,or even a decrease in sales. This is due to a number of factors. Many include the Economy, and the mere number of opportunities that imploded into the arena thereby temprarily diluting the "prospect pool". Many prospects postponed their decision to take the "leap of faith". This, combined with the number of techniques and themore educated consumer , we see more discerning prospects today , with more choices. What we are also experiencing is a Sunami of Opportunities and Models ,Matrixes , Weeds , Seeds, Lotions, Potions, Pills, Products , Services, juices, services, and Pay Plans... enough to confuse an Eienstein! It's no wonder why even the best of Programs we've all heard of are competing for new "Affiliate Owners." But, as with all "Trends and Cycles" Hang on for a HUGE bounceback!

So, What do we do? Well, First be clairvoient, look long term, and for those of us who have been around. Provide Complete Training . Myself, anyone I bring into network marketing is provided with "Cutting Edge" up to the market sessions continuously, at no extra charge. Why pay for programs on how to place ads free, Install Bulk mailing Robots, perform "reverse marketing," signature advertising" outsourcing, and other techniques
experineced marketers take for granted, but may be costly, and "Greek" to your sponsee. I feel it's our responsibility to provide and share our experience with others. Guru's have been preaching "MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME " for a least the last several years, and I believe that your "list", and a Portfolio of Opportunities, will give your prospects a choice from the HigherEnd to the lower Investment Entry levels, and you to better address the needs of todays prospect . I also think you should have a program that is a bit Explosive and "Cash Enhanced "or "Front Loaded" like a "Pass-up " System ,and, you should offer a long term program with Overides , Bonus Matching and RESIDUALS!

RESIDUALS,ARE THE ONES THAT WILL PROVIDE LONG TERM FINANCIAL FREEDOM and "LIFESYLE"people are searching for.. Long term Residuals, will require some Consistency, and perseverence, but the most Rewards in the Financial Stability of your Final LIFESTYLE AND FINANCIAL FREEDOM!!

Not sure if you are still looking for a home based business but I'm adding my two cents for what's it's worth.

There have been quite a few replies about MLMs. MLMs are not all bad. If you perform your due diligence and thoroughly check out the company an MLM/Network Marketing company just might be the right fit for you. You can work from home but I would advise you to join a business networking group and build relationships with people. I particularly recommend BNI (Business Networking International). Just google BNI and you'll find their web address.

I have been in network marketing for a couple of years and I thoroughly enjoy it. Not only is it a way to make an income, you also receive an education in communication, sales, relationship building, time management, etc. Donald Trump and Robert Kyosaki are big proponents of network marketing.

With any business you start there is hard work and commitment involved. It takes time and an investment in yourself to build a business. When I say "investment in yourself" I mean education, education, education.

If you would like to speak with me one to one, e-mail me at patsyschutte@sendoutcards.com. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you and provide assistance in any way I can.

I started with a small business teaching CPR-AED-First Aid. The training course to be an instructor costs less than $500 including your materials such as training manuals. Then you purchase promotional items, manikins, course consumables, etc. yes it's all under $1000 to start-up.

CPR & First aid courses currently cost around $40-65 per person. By teaching ONE CLASS of TEN (10) students you can expect a full return of your investment.

At first, You can just teach CPR and First Aid only and then build up a pot so you can purchase your own AED unit that costs between $150 to upwards of $1500 each. you can teach on 1-on-1 or classes with a maximum of 12 students per instructor.

There is no medical background pre-requisite to be an instructor. You don't need to be a medical practitioner.

CPR certification is a requirement in many industries, government agencies and private companies: law enforcement, security, in-home patient care, teachers, lifeguards, factories, etc.

It's a great small business opportunity that you start doing around your community without the need for a large capital.

Check it out at www.emergencyfirstresponse.com

or if you are around SoCal you can contact me directly. I currently offer Instructor training programs.

Been almost a year since your post but thought I'd reply anyways!

Starting a home-based business doesn't need a lot of start up cost and may not start bringing in tons of $$$$$ right away. You could look at getting grants if you want to start your own product or service selling.
As Payroll admin - you could also outsource yourself for smaller businesses and do their payroll for them. Many small businesses also haven't a clue about web design but would like to advertise. You could outsource yourself to them and get them set up - even if it's just helping them build a blog or two! As you get into Accounting, you can start taking care of other's payroll, Accounts Receivable/Payable and billing - helping companies move a way from manual entry to excel spreedsheets and simplifying the whole process! (You and I have the same educational background and this is exactly what I did! Only I majored in E-commerce and Marketing, but did complete Biz Admin and worked in the Accounting field for 10 years)

There are many other businesses to join which you can sell from home, so what you have to ask yourself is this:
1. How much (if any) is the start up cost?
2. Are there monthly minimum buying requirements? What other products do you need to buy to run this business?
3. What is the pay structure, how often do you get paid, what is the earning potential (don't believe that "unlimitled earnings crap!" Be realistic!)
4. Do you like the product? Do you get a discount? Does it make sense to join the company just to get the product for yourself?
5. What do you have as in individual, that will help you succeed?
6. Are there good resources to learn more and how tight is the competition?

I plan on starting a Basket and Flower business from my home - but not just yet. In the meantime, I started selling Watkins and Partylite - mainly because I like the product and getting the stuff at 25 - 50% off was worth signing up for me! Partylite was a one-time fee - expensive, but one time only. Watkins is $39.95/year. No monthly requirements on either side. I started going to community events and advertising, plus using my web experience to provide a community web page for other home-business owners, alongside my other websites. My business, as a result is increasing, my exposure is rising and I'm quite searchable on google now - which is great! I'm using the Watkins and Partylite to build a customer base and make some extra money. Soon, when the websites are all in place with customer loyalty, I will launch the home-based business and already have a huge database of potential clients!
Something like Watkins, for me, is the perfect way to go. Mainly because I love the products, and use them throughout my home instead of chemical crap found in stores! The cost is comparable to store prices so it makes sense! Watkins is quite well known and many people order from me now that they know where I am. What's even better is people order direct themselves often and I get commission just the same. So the money does come in, I get product I like and get to promote something I believe in. Just remember - there are no "get rich quick" ideas that really work! You'll always hear the "earnings are limitless" and "retire early", but you have to be realistic! There is no cap on earnings, true, but you won't likely become a Billionaire by selling these products. But yes, if you get a good base of customers who order from you, it's some good extra money and many people do sell Watkins as their primary job.

The sites I've created, if you are interested in checking them out for ideas down the road:
http://www.expressionsbytamara.ca (and .com) General Site
http://www.airdrieinfo.ca (and .com) Community Based Site - free for others in community to advertise
http://www.airdrieinformation.ca (and .com) Direct Watkins info for those interested in joining my team and getting listed on my sites.

Takes a little time to get all these up and running (and believe they are still being revised daily!) but once you've got them up and done, it's easy to maintain!

Good luck in your ventures and remember, whatever business venture you choose- keep your eyes open for the other opportunities which are bound to present themselves too!

Tamara

MLM is a great option for people who want to be self employed but don't have the money to start a conventional business. You want a company that has been in business for at least 5 years, provides a high quality product or service and has a good financial plan that allows you to become profitable quickly. Give my toll free number (888-319-7372) a call and I will be happy to give you information about the company that I promote. Or you can go to "keithwilson.truewealthpro.com" on the web.

As FORMOR 123485 said: "MLM is a great option for people who want to be self employed but don't have the money to start a conventional business." Very little risk with tremendous potential for rewards. How hard do you wish to work at your business? Compensation will be commensurate with your efforts. Look at some options and decide which is best suited for you!
Allow me to introduce another option: Zrii. Zrii is becoming a global sensation is a very short period of time. It is destined to become a billion dollar global brand. Your "investment" is determined by you (what amount are you comfortable with?) and will provide you with product samples and marketing tools. Imagine starting your own business for $500, $1000 or $1500. Hi,

I would like you to evaluate this online retail home business that I just started it a week ago. This company name called, Market America is a private product brokerage and internet marketing.Specialize in One to One Marketing and Mass Customization and they provide the most lucrative entrepreneural business plan called The UnFranchise Business Development System,is a systemized, standardized and uniformed it is a similar to a franchise but eliminate the weaknesses of high franchising fees, overhead cost and monthly royalties. If this something that interest you, take a look at the website of Market America @ http://www.marketamerica.com just to evaluate your opinion and you maybe find something that you are looking for.

Sincerely,
MAdistributor

You can outsource your services - many small businesses need admin and payroll services, consulting, computerizing their records.

Getting a side biz is always good, small tax write offs, discounts on products, extra money! I started selling Watkins Products because I use them all the time! So I get a discount on what I'd order anyways, I make extra money by selling it (which isn't hard - people just find me and order online usually!). If you want to look at Watkins for a side biz (It's actually become my F/T job!) check out www.whynotnorthamerica.com for more info.
My promo for the next two months is giving a $20 Gift Certificate to anyone who joins my team. I've had a few people email me looking for associates of Watkins who are local to them, so I want to build my team so I can direct customers that way!
Good luck whatever your venture!

Lucky,

You're providing a lot of good, sound "suggestions" that probably come from your experience as well as strongly recommending SCORE. Two thumbs up. One thing that appears to be overlooked by most people posting on this blog is always check (or at least strive to check) with reputable third party sources when considering any MLM or MLN [multi-level networking] whenever possible. Some people might not think to do that until "doing one's own due diligence" a.k.a. "homework" becomes second nature. You probably know as well as I do how many individuals get themselves into worse financial position by "MLM jumping" based upon "commission scales" or "commission payouts" or "compensation" than would have occurred had they slowed down long enough to do their homework. It's probably consistent with how many startup "brick-and-mortar" businesses don't last through the first two years.

If you want to email me at info@allpropertyneeds.com with questions or comments, then please feel free to do so. Please do not, however, attempt any marketing soliciations. I receive more "great opportunity" or "the next big thing" emails than soliciations for both credit cards and refi offers combined!

I started a home based business 2yrs. ago. It's with a international health & wellness company. The company does business in 65 countries and has been in business for 28yrs. It's also traded on the NYSE. Which has been doing very well do to the economy situation. You can work the business part-time or full-time. It's really up to you. This company sponsors the LA Galaxy soccer team. If your not familiar with the team, I know you've heard of Beckham. this is the team he plays for. The soccer team has the company name on the front of their jerseys. Also, our company is the nutritional consultant to the team. They all take our nutritional products. We also sponsor Olympic volley ball player Kathy Lang who also takes the products. Nascar car driver Townsend is another sponser of ours and takes the products. Singer Nelly Furtado drinks a product called liftoff before doing a show. All of our products are 100% natural. Since you have nothing to sale on ebay, these products would be it. I know your saying what is this company, the name of the company is Herbalife. Go to herbalife.com to get information about the company. if interested in the business, email me a marjns31@aol.com. I'll help you get started with your business.
