Non-Profit Childcare Center

Can anyone tell me what a non-profit daycare is? Can they charge a fee? Can they apply for CACFP?
I plan on opening a daycare in Maysville,NC real soon and I wanted to know if me being listed as a NP will stop me from charging a fee for childcare.
this is my first business venture, I'm learning as I go along. I also have a youth center that just opened up today, can I put it under my daycare center?
Please offer me some advice.

If I was planning to open a daycare center I would do TWO things

One, Contact a Lawyer. Two, Talk to SCORE. SCORE is FREE
