Google Adwords - Making You or Google Rich?

I've used google adwaords with very limited success. It seems like $100 in clicks gets racked up in a matter of hours with no sales to show. I use an extremely narrow rage of keywords (basically the phrase "Funny Shirts") so figured I'd have a captive audience. Anyone else have a similar experience?

You know maybe adwords is not the right means of marketing for you. always try out of the box options that may bring you to other customers not just the people looking for the shirt at that time.

You could always use viral video on you tube or face book just create or get someone to create a great video and kinda throw your name in it but dont over sell yourself, you dont want to be a comercial to your customer. there is always tagging in your town, illegal in some places but it gets attention. just think of yourself as a band trying to get your name out there bc your not signed to sony yet...haha just think about it a little and you can get some great ideas. my e-mail is chris@blitzlocal.com let me know what u come up with or throw some ideas at me. The sad facts of the matter is that most people do not find Adwords profitible. Reasons have to do with being in a niche where no amount of clicks is going to get you sales - having a poor landing site so that you get traffic but not sales - not paying to get high enough in the paid rankings (more than 7 is pretty worthless). The people that do make money have carefully researched keywords, products that are in high demand, bid enough to get within the first 7 rankings and have great landing pages that turn visitors into customers.

I'd take a look at the amount of traffic you did get, and how many sales it produced. This will tell you if it is Adwords or your landing page - or your product - that needs attention.
