Are there any CPA's that specilize in online businesses? We're in a small town, and I'm not sure the local firms really understand our business model. I worry that they won't be able to maximize our deductions and save us the most money.

Thanks for your response. We are a QuickBooks centered firm. I outsource virtually all the non-management tasks of this business. I have 3 folks in Bangalore, India that do the low level work.
Our system may be described as an upward delegation appproach to problems. In this approach each document page is the task. The data flow looks like this:

An incoming client transaction page is either faxed or e-mailed to a "DOT." The DOT names the page and send it to a "TEC".

The TEC is the bookkeeper who enters the transaction into the client's QuickBooks file. Should the TEC have a problem with the transaction it is then sent to the "T" local supervisorory accountant.

The supervisory accountant either fixes the problem locally or refers the problem to the client for clarification. The claruification is then returned to the TEC for proper processing.

The completed work is sent to a the US senior accocuntant for final review or sent to me the CPA for the final OK or additional clarification/explanation and instructions for a standardized approach to the problem in case it occurs again. This latter is documented on a "Jing/Wink" voice over video file attached to the system help files.

You would provide the US senior accountant function for me. What would your fee schedule be for a relationship such as this?

The present workload is quite small but we are growing, albeit, slowly.
