Thanks for the info, Frank. If you found that useful for do-it-yourself SEO, you might also check out a post in this forum from awhile back that I thought was very good:

Blitzlocal is most certainly an expert on this subject, and has proven results in what he does.

Hate to push for a shameless plug here, But I've been working with Dennis and Blitzlocal since it's inception back in March, and the knowledge contained within this company is amazing. We're trying to dispel all of the negative press swirling around the SEO label caused by hucksters using the term to buzz businesses into throwing cash at a seemingly easy idea. I'll go out on a limb and say to check out http://www.cpashare.com aswell

Thanks for the thread. I am trying to be as informed as I can on SEO, and other aspects of web marketing, so that I will know good deals from lesser deals as I work to get the website in front of users.

Thanks for the link. the articla by icrossingseo was very clearly stated and therefore very useful. The start-up sites need professional help in this field but may not have the budget to hire the Pro's to do the SEO work. So we are left with trying to throw our hat into the ring with millions of other similar hats and hope to be noticed.

AllCars - Get in contact with Dennis Yu for an estimate on how much an SEO campaign would cost for what you're trying to do. Dennis@blitzlocal.com or just visit our main page, there should be a contact form.

Mongoose -

The reason I ask is beause from my experience it seems that Wordpress has the fastest and greatest results with SEO.

To some Wordpress might seem like just a simple solution, but after viewing your work, I find that I was completey of base in this assumption.

Take the fundamentals of unbelievable results of SEO with use of SEO, and ad the features that your company does, and the results are unbelievable.

Intech - Wordpress is amazing for SEO, and makes for a wonderful content manager. Great thing is, you can actually turn control relativly easily over to the business owners to fill in their own content if you have other things to do. It also structures things in an effecient way, which is why we chose it as a simple but effective deployment option.

We can't complain, but our definition of doing well is many times the capacity of what we're at :) We're not settled where we are and want to push to the top, and help as many local businesses as we can!
