I came across this new online service (www.lookuppage.com)
where you can set up a free one page website to promote yourself and your business (they use SEO techniques to bring your page to the top of Google search results page). They also provide daily statistics info about your page traffic and visitors but in order to view that info they want me to upgrade and pay the $95 annual fee which I'm happy to do, but I wanted to know if anyone else is using the service and if the stats information provided is helpful.

Any reply will be highly appreciated, thanks.

It's a service that's more widely used in the UK and Middle East then in the U.S. (your profile doesn't say where you are located). In general, if someone is searching for you to do business, wouldn't you rather it be YOUR business website that they see at or near the top of the search -- rather than your listing/page on someone else's domain? Personally, I'd spend the $95 that way. Welcome to the community and best wishes.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Lookuppage will buy you a dedicated domain name based on your name as a part of their porfessional package. Personally I prefer having as many results / links as I can that will lead to my website or profile from Google result page, this is why I am interested in that service.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer.

Hi Ehud,

I'm using LookupPage and I'm very pleased from the service, especially from the statistics they provide about your profile visitors.

You can read more about the product's benefits at http://www.lookuppage.com/professional

I am not using LookupPage.

Do they offer you your own domain name and hosting, or do they utilize there own domain for your page? (like myspace, blogspot or youtube)

Free users are parked on the www.lookuppage.com domain for example: http://www.lookuppage.com/users/bettinariesgo
According to the site, professional (users who pay the $95 annual fee) get a dedicated domain name based on their actual name:

"LookupPage Professional Package includes a free standing domain matching your name.
Our domain name selection algorithm will match the best available domain for your name and your LookupPage will turn into an independent site hosted on that selected domain."

(see http://www.lookuppage.com/professiona)

Sounds intriguing, although I do not know if it would suit my needs.

Well, you can always try the service for free: www.lookuppage.com and opt-in to the paid service if it makes sense.
