I'm putting my 2 cents into the mix. I am associated with a record label out of Southern California who is looking to upgrade their studio/equipment so they can go worldwide. The company has been in business since 2006 and includes a CEO, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer. There is a group signed to the label; looking to expand on that issue also. The CD associated with that group is expected to be released in February 2009.

It would be great if you would consider this venture as the key players are anxious and full of energy to expand the label to all markets around the world.

Thanks for your time,

I am looking for help in opening a business solutions company. I have 22 years experience in Information Technology and even more in Accounting and Taxes. I would like to open a business that offers hardware and software computer support, networking support, procurement support, remote network administration, such as a NOC but only using email notification, along with bookkeeping and tax support. I have experience and skills in all of this. A business that has a balance of support options for small businesses should be a success. There a commercial space close to where I live that would make a good retail shop for computer sales and service. The other services could be offered. Christmas and tax season is right around the corner, now is a good time to start. Please let me know what you think.

good morning--my name is jim and i have worked for the same flooring retailer/distributor for the past 18 years--we are by far the best retailer in terms of product and service on the southwest side of chicago and beyond--we were a family owed company up until 2002 when the owners sold to a corporate firm out of new york and were subsequently run into the ground--i firmly believe mismanagement and not just the housing market was to blame. the company i work for was established in 1978 and i came on board in 1990--i have created vast contacts and have a strong following of tilesetters and builders as well as general contacts--my understanding of all products including natural stone-ceramic-porcelain-laminate and vinyl are second to none--in 2007 i completed a course (and test for certification) given at the annual flooring show Coverings bt the National Ceramic Tile Distributors of America which was inclusive of product and installation---i came on with this company in their warehouse in 1990 and became a salesperson in 1993--from that point i took over the showroom manager position in 1997--after the take over in 2002 the company put up a store in schererville indiana in 2005 which proved to be a major step in the demise of the company--i was sent sent to the indiana store at the end 0f 2007 to take over the cabinetry dept to which i claim at least mild success and was brought back to the original location upon the closing of the indiana store in mid 2008--our store is slated for sale or liquidation--unfortunately it is at this point more than i can handle in terms of its size--im looking to start out on my own and am starting to put a business plan together--i will be looking for a building (with a dock possibly) no more than 10000 s/f--i have local distributors at my disposal and am looking only to stock minimal amouts of tile at this time, knowing a quick turn around time is possible---im 42 years old with children who are now old enough to make the hours needed available to my wife and i (she is an experienced bookkeeper and salesperson)--as we started our family it was our goal that she would stay home with the kids and only recently has she worked full time--our youngest is 10 y/o--ive been a salaried employeee and have worked anywhere from 70 hours a week to the 45 i work now---i am looking for an investor to complete my plan of having a small tile store up and running and also have the ability to grow by the third quarter of 2009 when i believe the housing market will slowly start to rebound---if there is any interest please email me jalkofer@comcast.net and thank you for your time---james alkofer

70. Your $300K will launch an AMAZING business! Oct 20, 2008 10:40 PM

Hello,

My name is Amanda Cantrell and I am a Fashion Designer. I know that the business you've already invested into is on the opposite end of the spectrum and you're going to get 500+ responses but I would like to take a stab at it as well. I won't waste your time with car salesmen antics or tell you that my dream is astoundingly innovative. I want to start my own clothing line called Amanda Cantrell Design. I am in the beginning stages of seeing my creations completed and I'm navigating the business aspect of Fashion alone. I would deeply appreciate it if you could take a look at my current operating website explaining my line and then make your assumptions of whether you would like to invest.

http://www.freewebs.com/acdesign_08/

To sum up quickly why my line is a great investment:

  • a) Fashion will always have consumers whether the world is suffering financially or not!
  • b) Based off of feedback regarding my clothing line, Amanda Cantrell Design is a clothing line that can cater to women of all sizes, races, and ages. My clothes don't follow trends, but instead, come from the heart.
  • c) Amanda Cantrell Design WILL be as big as the other top design label one day soon and you have the opportunity to join now!
  • d) This is my "American Dream" and I want the best help I can get and have the opportunity to help others.

Thank you for your time,

Amanda Y. Cantrell

I own a small business looking to turn it into a large one. I would like to expand the business with a focus on offsite data storage in Florida. It has great potential especially during hurricane season. Other services would be similar to fastteks.com. I need 50K to move it forward.

Any ideas and/or assistance are welcome.

Tom
