Bears fan? You guys are having a tough year. Anyway I haven't personally used sales genie but I have a friend who owes his own insurance agency and wanted to increase the number of commercial policies he sold and used salesgenie with some success.

So I guess the question is what type of business are you in, that will help determine whether sales genie is a good fit.

Well I am not sure about all you need to set up an insurance business, but I know you'll have to be license to sell certain types of insurance, but when most people I know get into that type of business they become brokers like my friend. He owes his own agency and is a broker for All State.

Again, I know he said salesgenie helped him with good leads for small business, so once you get started it might be a good place to start if you want business traffic.

Good luck

I agree with BDS salesgenie can help you find decent sales leads, but finding leads is the 1st part once you get them, you have to close them. If you need help in this area I can be of some assistance as I help train sales people.

I have a life and health insurance license. I have been talking with AFLAC and the seem to have a good program on being an independent agent. I am looking to market to small businesses and I have had someone tell me that salesgenie does a good job of providing information for small businesses.

I appreciate the answer and the information.

I have been selling merchandise to retail outlets for 8 years. But any tips will help, because I got a philosphy that says that you can always learn new tricks. Any information that you can provide will help.

I appreciate the information and the answer.

I am looking at timeline of starting within the next month. I have been looking at becoming a independent agent for AFLAC. This will allow me to develop relationships and learn all the products and services that insurance companies can provide. Later. I may become a broker. I have been selling merchandise for convenience stores for the last 8 years, and have reached a point to where I want to have more of a impact on my income levels, rather than have a company dictate your quotas and customer sources. I looked and the product that has been the most intriguing has been insurance. The simple fact that everyone needs some form of insurance for future occurrences.

I have used Sales Genie.com once before and I have to say that I was quite dissipointed with it.
The results given were not at all close to the type of client I was looking.

Salesgenie is a good prospecting tool, nothing more and nothing less. You choose the industry by SIC code, location, size of the companies you are targeting by sales or employee count. Salesgenie also offers a client management program but I just use ACT and import/export the information from salesgenie. I use the salesgenie light program for $90 a month and I feel like it is a good investment.

I like salesgenie better than the other lead services I have tried because their information seems more up to date. I don't get a lot of returned mail on direct mail campaigns and most (95%+) of the phone numbers and contact names are accurate.
