Starting a Personal Chefs Service how do i find funding?

Help I have 40 yrs in food service as a working managing chef , and find it is time to go to work for my self , the 60 to 80 hr. grind in the kitchen is to much. So have posted a web site and email addy and advertising for PERSONAL CHEF SERVICE. the name is Your Personal Chef Chef Bryan. I need to get my certification for personal home chef and some more advertising other then the internet. like car signs,and more ins. All in all I only need about $3,000.00 but everybody I talked to says it to small of a loan. Is there a loan company out ther that would help. I live in APEX NC. if you want to look at my site it is.

I would not underestimate the power of networking and recommendations - - are you involved in activities/go to events where all the foodies go to (e.g. restaurant week, food festivals, cooking demonstrations, workshops, organic farmer's markets, celebrity chef events, cook-offs, etc.)? Those would be bettter venues to advertise, or to meet people that would potentially hire a personal chef or would be able to recommend you. And maybe you want to start hosting some dinner parties, etc. so people can actually "taste" your expertise. Good luck!

thanks for the input I am already doing most of that. But my main need is to get certified and get some ins. I don't want to go in dept over my head just up to my ankles. It seems that if you want to get a big loan it is easer then a small one.( $3,000. instead of $30,000.)
