The majority of the technical reviews have indicated that this browser is not as efficient as Explorer or Firefox. I have heard that the downloads are tricky as well.

Hello DomainDiva glad you see you.

The dowload of Google Chrome seems to be ok for me, but this browser need some improvements.

The design is very basic, I wish with all the information google get from our sites to visualize more information about the site in this specific browser.

I guess that's what happens when 'search' designers venture into other applications!

I've tried and like it, for the most part, so far. It seems to be a lot faster than the other browsers i've used and had to configure the options to my liking. No granted, there are some problems with it such as the way it handles SSL's and other features, but for me that is expected since it's a new release.

You have to remember that Chrome is still in the Beta version...but for how long? I mean Gmail is still in its Beta version and i really enjoy it with all its little feature and whatnot. Hopefully, we should see a lot of improvements and compatibility in the next few months. I don't think it will totally kill IE or the others, but it very well become the norm if they do it right.

I like Google too but I as a leader in search engines industry, I am looking that this company improve more their search engine, than to create many other new gadgets.

For example and I think it will help the visitors and potential customers, when they are looking for a products on search engines to find the right sites.

As a webmaster myself, there is no possibility to make the difference between a legitimate e-commerce and a link farm, spam advertiser or article before clicking from the links search result page.

I wish Google will make a e-commerce thumbnail logo as they did for Google checkout to help the customers finding the right link to click on when the page result appear.

I think Google Chrome will have his own place only if they provide more information about sites.

What will make you decide to use Google Chrome instead of FF or IE if you've got the same results?

I like how Chrome has thumbnails of the most visit pages on the home page, but i wish the search results had the feature that ask.com has were you roll over the binoculars and it shows you a preview of the page without clicking on it so you can see if it's somewhat valid or not...

hey thanks! You do pose an interesting question as well, if it's not going to be really different or revolutionary, what's the point? I can get the same basic cheeseburger from McD's, Burger King or Carj's Jr or (insert local burger fast food joint), but unless it's got all the fixings made with real quality items, i'll just stick with what i got that works and move on...

Since IE still holds, what is it, like 75 - 80% of the market share still, most 3rd party/proprietary apps will be built for IE and be made compatible with the other browsers. I do like how Chrome seems to have been dumbed down though and made simple in it's look and functionality and features like dragging a tab outside to turn into another window or dragged back in as a tab...

Oh, and just to nerd out real quick...Chrome as gained approx 1.78 market share as of Sept. 4

"Microsoft's Web browsing program remains the overall leader in the market with 72.15 percent of all browsers using a form of Internet Explorer; Firefox comes in second at 19.73 percent; while Safari has 6.34 percent, according to Market Share."

i got this from an article on Channel Web right now...
