Hi everyone,
I am sorry for possible offtopic, but I need your help in find new web hosting provider as soon as possible, because my current host (bluehost.com) is kicking me off, they say 'your account is using a lot server resources', but my website gets only about 200 visitors per day and my disk usage is 1500 MB (maybe they do not like that?)

Anyway, what would be your recommendations for getting reliable web hosting? Where are you hosting your websites? Are you happy with your providers?

I am now checking http://www.hosting24.com/ - offer looks very nice, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them about this question and they say something that "These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

What do you think about it? Maybe things have changed in last 4 years? With my current provider I get only 2GB of disk space for $10 per month..
Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

There is no company in the world that can provide unlimited disk space in a literal sense, but if your looking for 500gb then yeah it seems like alot. We use 1 and1 webhosting for years and have had no problems. If you need anything else please dont hesitate to ask we also know of a very good web designer graphic artist that does websites.

Hi Oxy.Gen. I use and love http://secure.hostgator.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=lisawood">HostGator for my sites. The price is reasonable, and their customer service is terrific.

Good luck!

Ha yes! Server resource issues.
Please explain what type of website your launching. Did the other company mention how much of the servers processor time you were using.
Will you have digital downloads, streaming audio or video or is it a static site?
Will there be file sharing. Will you need to execute cron jobs?
Please tell us in the community about your website. Some of us here on the forum may be able to help.
Remember, there is no such thing as UNLIMITED.

Warm Regards,
-Webmaster

if you really need that much disc space then get a dedicated server... you will have a much bigger pipe and a helluvalot of room to expand. Just make sure you get a managed server... i made the mistake of cheeping out on my dedicated server years ago with (what was then) rackshack... i didnt know how to maintain it and by the end all my stuff was so screwed up i almost lost it all.

Now i am with phatservers.net. I know... aweful name, but wonderful service and really the most bang for your buck imho.

Disclaimer <<
i am not affiliated with this company... this is a real referral, not just a salesman pimping his services. (a la seinfeld) Of course there is nothing wrong with that, heaven knows i do it all the time for web design, but i thought it would be nice to have an honest recommendation for once :D

The hosting service I currently use is Host Rail. I absolutely love their cpanel as it's the best one I've used so far. And the price is next to nothing.

Choosing a service provider for Web Hosting requires a bit more than just the cost factor.

It is a combination of factors such as reliability, performance (speed) and stability of the Service provider.
Choice of products used for their services is / should also be a factor to consider.

We have been with the same Service Provider for 8 years, with good service records. Recently they changed their infrastructure which caused our application to slow down significantly. But because of the long term term relationships we are working on a program to resolve these issues.

So my suggestion is to make an inventory of your present / future requirements and the products you want to use long term. Based on your requirements start shopping around and negotiate your best price.

Good Luck.

If you have an e-commerce store, I personally would advise http://www.fortune3.com which actually gives you a very nice platform and webstore builder with free hosting but charges on a per transaction basis which is actually great as opposed to bandwidth charges.

Lead gen based I have always used http://www.godaddy.com hosting just cause its a large company but has issues here and there but quick fixes open 24hrs a day.
