equipment purchase for small construction company

I have been in the construction industry for over 30 years. My company is bidding on several large projects and we need to update our equipment to compete for these jobs. A small part of the money will be used to cover labor expenses until we can recieve our first draw from the customer. This is the foot in the door chance for us to be part of a ten year project . We need $75000.00 to accomplish our goals and be a successful competitor .Any Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim

Jim, Tell me MORE. Are you the owner of J and J Builders in Elberta, Alabama??

Do you have an Accountant?? Financial Reports or Tax Returns that I can see??

Have you prepared a Business Report that I can read showing What and How the $75K will be spent??

How long do you need the funds For?? and How and When will I get repaid??

Jim, just started my business(4weeks ago). Granted my monetary needs were not as great as yours; but I hit up everyone I know including my customers to finance, and pay for my day to day expenses until my first round of invoices came in. The people that you know personally is where I would start. Maybe you have old clients who would like to invest. Hope this helps-A

A couple of thoughts:

What about leasing the equipment?

What about financing from the equipment sellers? With the slowdown in the economy and especially in housing construction you might find equipment sellers/manufacturers willing to deal.
