New Small business In need of Insurance, Please Help

Hello,

I am starting a business that involves providing entertainment at Birthday partys and special events. I am looking for a good insurance company to give me General Liabillity insurance in the state of Massachusetts. someone sent me to K&K insurance, but i dont think i need that kind of insurance, plus it would cost me $135 for each party or event i do. thats basicly my entire price for the party. lol if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. thanks Benny

Open the yellow pages and talk to insurance agents locally

I agree. I would also talk to my auto/home Insurer, if they offer business insurance.

Ask other business owners in your area who they use.
Insurance is tricky and too important to trust just any company.
Please be aware that what ever you tell them you will be audited at renewal time.
If you cancel they will do a person to person audit to make sure that everything you told them at the beginning of the policy was true and has not changed.
For example- If you use subcontractors, employees, where you have these events will all come into play.

Benny J, I do insurance and liablity insurance for party planning is not cheap. And yes they do it on a per party basis. I am not sure what you are doing at the party so I dont know exactly what you are needing to cover. You can email me and i can give you some tips and questions you would ask an agent in your area. But bascially not many insurance companies offer insurance for events. There are a few special companies that do. The best of luck to you.
