Angel or VC Funding Request - Waste-to-Fuel - Biodiesel

We have designed a 2.6MGY waste-to-fuel biodiesel plant. We have a location and vendors lined up. All we need is funding. We have raised 10% so far. We need $3.5M to launch. We need $8.5M to fully fund stage 1 & 2. We need $18M to fully fund 4MGY waste-to-fuel biodiesel and 2MGY waste-to-fuel bio-gasoline.

We have a solid management team and we are preapproved for our location.

We have presold (and over sold) our first years production of 2.6MG!

Using all state-of-the-art fully automated equipment we can turn waste stream materials in biodiesel and biogasoline. This is NOT experimental. We have proven results - though no profit yet.

We are looking for angel and VC funding from those with an interest in lowering diesel and gas costs. We can bring our products to market well BELOW current diesel and gas prices.

We are looking for investors who want to help the US achieve energy independence.

We are looking for capital from those who recognize the importance of reducing our dependence on oil.

Our biodiesel and bio-gasoline are carbon-neutral and clean burning.

Our waste-to-fuel or waste-to-energy plant is also waste free! We take in all waste stream products and convert EVERYTHING - even our office waste - into salable products. We will have NO GARBAGE, no industrial waste, nothing to get rid of that doesn't generate profits!

I am working with a group investing in suitable bio-fuel and alternative energy businesses. A few initial questions for you:

  1. Is this a US based operation?
  2. This sounds like a start-up venture but you said you have proven results though you are not profitable yet. Are you currently generating any revenue?
  3. Do you have actual contracts or purchase order commitments for the take-off / production of the plant once it is operational?
  4. What is your timeline? How soon to begin production and generating revenue?

Kleiner-Perkins may be interested. They are heavily invested in several alternative fuel programs such as the battery that will be used in the GM Volt. Google them by name for contact info and submission guidelines.

HI Mr. Lowery,

  1. Is this a US based operation?

Yes. We are based in Saratoga, NY

  1. This sounds like a start-up venture but you said you have proven results though you are not profitable yet. Are you currently generating any revenue?

We are basically a start-up. We have been in business for a year mostly doing R&D, testing, planning, etc. We are producing biodiesel in small batches now and not selling any of it - just making sure all our plans are sound.

  1. Do you have actual contracts or purchase order commitments for the take-off / production of the plant once it is operational?

We have contracts for all the fuel. A blender is willing to take 90% of all our finished fuel. We have one investor who is interested in 250KGY and one interested in 1MGY. Since our first years production will be about 2.6MGY we have sold it all and then some.

  1. What is your timeline? How soon to begin production and generating revenue?

It will take us 3 months from cash on hand to be producing ASTM grade fuel. That is stage 1. It will take us 8 months from day one to complete Stage two where we are producing all the fuel from waste material and have all our systems in house, up and functional. Stage 3 will take sixteen months from capitalization to have our bio-plasma reactor capable of producing methanol and biogasoline from waste.

Hi,

Thanks for answers to those questions. That leads to three more to ask (feel free to look at my profile and contact me directly in reply to these if you like or send to me at dmlowery@adducentinc.com):

1. What is the $ value of those contracts?

2. At what stage post-funding can you begin delivering to those contracts and start generating revenue (3 months, 8 months, 16 months etc.)?

3. Do you have a business plan / executive summary and pro forma financial projections for 3 years (that show the contract value cash flow over time for the purchase of your first years productions and 2nd and 3rd years financial projections).
