It does not matter what your product line is, service is the key difference thats one#

Also cost factors i.e wages benfits are lot less in India I mean LOT LESS than usa or canada

I am based in Canada and found call centre in India to be very profitable

As far as english goes trust me they speak great english

I want to market produts in the uk only as a start up

where are you located?

Well if your marketing in the uk , big diffrence , I marked Federal student loan consolidation
for eight years, we tried india and are volume droped by 60% because english , Let me ask you

Hi,

I have an 15 seater call centre up running and looking to get new processes. I have really efficient staff and they are all doing great in the existing process. To keep them busy and provide more opportunity for my staff i am looking to bid for the new process. As i am new in this business and dont have much contacts, i would invite you all to feed any comments to help me.

New studies have shown that call centers based in India are having a negative effect on a US companys' reputation. I was harrassed for weeks because of incorrect information in the WAMU system. The call center in India employees would not let me speak to any kind of supervisory personnel for three weeks. It is incredibly humiliating to be harrassed for the wrong reasons by someone who does not speak english and is not even in the USA.

Our company has decided that when the time comes for tech support that we will have our call center in the USA and employ American citizens, some of whom will be multi lingual.

If you're still interested in opening a call center in India I can definitely help you in that area. I have an office building in Pune India and could hire as many employees there as you would want. The great thing about Pune India is that it is the education capitol of the country... it is so easy to find people that have grown up speaking English and can communicate perfectly. I've had extreme negative experiences with call centers operating outside the USA. It is not only about the language barrier, but about the way of thinking and extreme cultural differences. I have been harassed by employees of such call centers in India, who will not accept "No" for an answer. Businesses in the United States are managed in a different fashion. Companies in the USA, market their services, but they do not and harass customers, since we have laws against this type of behavior.

If our company were to to hire a call center in the future, it would definitely be operated out of the USA and one who employs highly qualified American citizens.

When people have bad experiences when dealing with global employees it is usually due to the old outsourcing model... the employees are owned and managed by an Indian run businesses that have contracts with U.S. companies. You're right - they typically have accents that aren't understandable and the culture gap is far and wide.

However - there is a new and better way. Outsourcing "3.0" ... Companies like WLM Global have offices in India, but are managed and owned by Leadership in the United States. We pay our employees over 2 times the national average and have our offices located in Pune India - where the education system rivals that of even the best in the United States. These global employees have outstanding work ethic, and take great pride in the fact that they have well paying job that can support their families.

THE WORLD IS FLAT ladies and gentlemen... technology has leveled the playing field across the globe for both companies and individuals... and we've only seen just the beginning.
