Jean, my guess is that we sometimes enter a "magic or secret" word or two that

triggers the message to be delayed.

Which forum are people seeing "Thread will need to be approved by a moderator?" The only forum that has moderation turned on from time to time is "Events" - - so that the guest speaker has time to address all questions coming into the queue. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We will investigate with our developers. Posts with the exception of the Event forum, should always be posting in real-time.

As I said I didn't see the thread message, but I did get a similat message for a post I was trying to make (and ended up double posting) in a thread I had started a bit earlier in Legal catagory. URL: http://smallbusinessonlinecommunity.banko

Which also leads to why didn't the moderator remove one of the two posts that should have been obvious considering they were done consecutively (I missed the moderation message the first post and just tried to post again thinking I must have hit cancel instead of submit).

I experience this "delay" on perhaps one in every ten posts -- something your response confirmed was the likely result of a monitoring script (rather than something activated by a moderator). Thanks for continuing to examine the issue.

My last post before this one was in "What is an appropriate pay raise percentage for employees" and received the message "Thread will need to be approved by a moderator".

In two weeks I received around ten messages like that, and this is frustrating when I offer my time to post on this forum to help others or share comments.

I think it would be excellent if the moderators could explain the methodology a bit about how and why users get selected for being queued for moderation. Interactivity is being hindered by this when it is a contributing member. Yet we have plenty of one time wonder posts that seem to go through without delay growingly to my dismay!
