I am currently working on getting my dearler license in Florida. I want to open a small business and am very new to the Dealer and Business Industry. My work history is vehicle processing, automotive parts distribution, RECON/reconditioning to say a few. I am at a standstill on getting my license since one of the qualification is having a location. What I am looking for are other Independent Dealers willing to teach or give advice to a rookie. I have many questions and not sure where to begin. I am getting into this solo so I want to make sure I do it right. My first question would be is there an actual step by step program out there for Independent Dealers?

*Independent Auto Dealer, Good luck in *getting your dealer license in Florida.
A step by step program sounds like a Business and Marketing Plan.
What are you doing about LOCATION?? Do you have a Lawyer??
Do you know about SCORE?? SCORE is FREE and can help with a step by step program.
You can visit SCORE in person or on line.

As far as location, I am looking in Jacksonville and Winter Haven. As of yet I do not have a lawyer but am looking for one. I do know about SCORE and it has helped alot. My focus right now is learning as much as I can while I have some free time. I researching accounting and bookkeeping tools... any suggestions?
