disability recommendations.

Hello,

I am a 21 year-old disabled aspiring successful businessperson who is currently getting my AA in business, and will work my way up to a Master's in business with specialization in e-business. I have a general question about starting up a business; I have done countless hours of research on importing items from overseas, and will soon begin my attempt at starting a small wholesale/retail business. However, due to the fact my physical disability limits my ability to work general jobs, my finances are slim; I have enough to start small, and have my ubi and tax id, but was wondering if any organizations help people with disabilities start businesses or help them expand once they get going.

Thanks for any recommendations, and I am looking forward to learning as much as possible here!

Brandon, You sound like you are making all the right moves to become a successful businessperson.
Specializing in e-business sounds like the way to go.
I am a SCORE Counselor and SCORE suggests developing a Business and Marketing Plan.
You can reach SCORE (FREE) online and also take 26 FREE Online Courses at " www.score.org".
To answer your question, have you tried googling "organizations help people with disabilities start businesses"

Have you done any online research to see if there are any SBA grants for disabled entrepreneurs?

Here's a couple of suggestions. First of all if you're receiving Social Security Disability go to socialsecurity.gov And drill down to Social Security Disability and check out their ticket to work program.

Secondly, google search for microsoft business it is free to join and you can get a free website for a year. In addition, you can build other websites I have 2 one is totally free and the other cost me 14.95 for the first year. As far as sourcing suppliers goes join Salehoo.com they are great for sourcing wholesale suppliers internationally. Please take the time to research your product. One way to do that is to go to Ebay's "Want it now", lists. these are people that are looking for stuff that they can not find.

Brandon,

It's been a while since you posted this, but I thought I'd chime in. In short, you can start an online business for absolutely $0. If you can learn some basic html skills, you can put together a website to sell just about anything. Even easier would be to use an ecommerce template like OSCommerce. You pretty much just have to upload it to your website and start tweaking the settings. Add your products and you're ready to go.

You can get a faster start if you have money to spend, but with dropshipping and downloadable products, you can start with nothing and reinvest your profit to grow.
