Microloan vs. SBA Patriot Express Loan

Hello, I'm in the process of starting a home based business in real estate investing. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what direction I should take to get financing for the start-up costs, and I've visited with a SCORE counselor several times since Nov 2007, and I was advised that I wouldn't be able to receive a loan. My question is, being that I only require about $10K for start-up costs, should I look more into a microloan or a SBA Patriot Express Loan. I look forward for anyone's feedback. Thank you.

Semper I wanted to bump this post to see if you acquired either of the two. Both im sure are sound programs, and it just seems somewhat tedious the efforts that must go into these loans before final approval. It is understood that when you are dealing with money one most be very detailed on both ends. From what I understand the SBA Patriot Express loan is somewhat new, and the SBA has something in the mail to me as I post this. Hope it worked out for you.

Looking forward to your experience with this.

If you'd like another option, you may want to consider peer-to-peer lending.
